Grenade regen is still too low for DPS, and the nerf to regen on kills makes it less good for add clear.
Why bother reworking, and calling it a "well deserved boost" if it's actually worse at the only thing it was actually still okay at doing and still unusable for the thing it used to be good for?

With “100” grenade you’ll get about 7.5% grenade regen. You’ll also get about 21% per kill. You get this bonus while radiant now, meaning you don’t need to run Emp rift, and can use Phoenix dive + benevolence to max grenade CD. You also get 65% more grenade damage at 200 stat, so double fusion nukes are gonna be quite strong. Not sure why you think this isn’t a great buff, it’s literally such a good QoL change. Do we just read things at face value now and stop thinking? Come on.

With your grenade at 100, you will get even bigger chunks back. At 200, the fusions should be hitting like mini supers.

The crazy thing is with the addition of higher stats per armor tiered sets, we are initially regrinding for builds we already have available at this very moment. The idea that we must regrind for what we already have is by far the most hilarious thing in terms of build crafting. Sets are now forced meta and the desire to make it similar to how diablo 4 is where blizzard makes a specific meta for every class is not the way. But what do I know, I guess this is the new formula for player retention that everyone wanted so desperately within the community. Eyes up guardian 🫡✌️🍻

Edited by Joulevette12: 6/19/2025 8:31:39 PM🤣 LMAO ikr and I find it mind boggling that they went out of they way to buff "Wings of Sacred Dawn" AGAIN for the 4th time over actually renewing Winter Guile in TWAB about melee buffs Don't get me started on turning "Prometheus Spurs" into another "Secant Filasment" which no one uses along with nerfing "Boots of the Assembler" by removing the extended timer and making based off heal recharge
-
Thank god they boosted the melee damage on the worst gauntlets in the game though. Now warlocks are TRULY at the top of the food chain 😳

Edited by xbroggiex: 6/21/2025 1:28:32 AM100 grenade stat will give 190% grenade energy gains. So that 5% should grant roughly 9% or 9.5% with 100 grenade, the original pre-nerf starfire iirc was 10%. With 9% you can get a grenade every 4.4 seconds with .4 second cooldown between energy gains. The reason the kills energy got reduced was because of that grenade stat so with 15% you'll get 28.5% grenade energy on kill with 100 grenade stat. If it was still 20% you'd get 38% which is a little too much for just getting a kill while radiant, that is also another buff with radiant now counting as empowered damage.

Bruh...most of what's in this game is so nerfed. Any given item or ability doesn't do much- if anything. Go play the first game. We had it so much better then.
-
Agree it is not a buff at all. The 20 to 15 is a 7 kills requirements from 5. Just as reminder before it was any damage buff i.e rampage, kill clip etc that granted this buff. Radiant is not really the easiest to get especially since it takes -10 to discipline ... The jump from 2.5 to 5 is just not enough from what it was
-
Everyone is jumping to conclusions... until we get to actually use the new sandbox there's no telling how good/bad it will be and we all know there will be more adjustments soon after launch...it's not the end of the world just yet...
-
Edited by ben: 6/20/2025 2:37:17 AMI would curb my criticism until we can play with the new stats system. Starfire with 200 grenade will probably be broken... instant lock loadout that Im going to have for day 1
-
Maybe, but now that radiant counts towards the regen, you’re not locked to sitting in a rift. With the fragment that resets radiant buff, you can be running around the whole time
-
$1000 says the actium buff is actually nerf. Stacks 10 times but I bet you have to get 5 stacks to be where Actium sits now in terms of ammo regen.
-
Yeah they should address the regen on kills, but I'm not upset that we're not letting grenades compete for DPS...
-
Yes it does. You can use Radiant/emperyan to always get the energy allowing us to use Phoenix dive without losing the neutral game portion of the exotic.
-
I've been a bit confused about the way they've worded some of this twid, which I expect was by design. But I did get the impression that bosses won't be endless bullet sponges anymore.
-
Starfire will never be buff.
-
I mean it’s definitely a buff and in neutral it lets you use healing rift or phoenix dive. Next season I’m pretty sure there are some mods for radiant access also. Keep in mind you have ember of benevolence and the new stat bonuses to help increase uptime. It used to be good for infinite filler which helps your total damage but today I don’t think it will be useful for damage regardless. If you really needed total dmg you can use an exotic heavy. In other cases, you don’t really need abilities as filler dmg thanks to envious arsenal.

And then on top of that next season will have an artifact that fully supports it. The addition of it working radiant allows you to ditch the empowering rift, which was always the weakest aspect of the exotic.

If anything it ruins the interesting class item combo of Filaments + Starfire

What i can't understand is them finally touching winters guile and not adding a meter to it. Also can't wait to continue ignoring promethium spurs until they can understand that rift exotics are fundamentaly boring.
