Oryx/Echo of Navigation
So. The echo of navigation: we know that it is a memory of oryx and want to go back to fundament right? We also know that it only remembers up to when he killed akka, as stated in part one. And in Grimoire 1: dark mirror, it says that Crota? was born AFTER the death of akka. So would the echo even know of Crota? And oryx only went to sol to avenge Crota, so does he even know why he’s there? It would explain why he want to go back to fundament, back to where he remembers. Sorry if I got this wrong.

The thing is, Oryx ridiculed his older self. Oryx came to Sol for revenge, but Hive philosophy demands that the dead deserved to die because of their own weakness. Trying to avenge the dead was heretical and so, Oryx beseeched his older self who was then killed by us. It’s part of the reason Oryx seemed to really like us, before finally commanding us to kill him once again, putting up a test through the Stasis Subjugator (I forget her name) to prove we were worthy of killing him once again. Honestly, it’s of my opinion that Heresy would have been a great OPENING season to the whole year of Final Shape.
