Title: Crucible Lobby Balancing – Is There Any Way to Talk to Someone at Bungie?
I’ve put in over 8,000 hours across two accounts, and I’d estimate that 80% of that time has been in Crucible. I’m not here to rant—I’m genuinely asking: is there any way to speak with someone at Bungie about lobby balancing?
I don’t consider myself a top-tier player, but I’m also not bottom of the barrel. Yet match after match, I’m consistently placed on teams that are either at my skill level or noticeably worse—in unwinnable games against players that far out skill my team and I collectively -especially when solo queuing. Even after back-to-back blowouts, I get put right back in with the same teammates. I’m not blaming them I’m blaming the lobby balancing.
I’ve started checking Destiny Tracker and in more than 60% of my games, my team’s win probability is under 30%. That’s not just bad luck. Something is off. Whether it’s an unseen stat grouping solos together or some kind of hidden MMR factor, the experience is consistently frustrating.
@Bungie – I’m dead serious when I say this: I would literally pay to come into the studio and show you how consistently one-sided these matches are. I just want to understand what’s going on.
This feels similar to the god roll issue Bungie once said didn’t exist—until it turned out it did. The matchmaking imbalance is too consistent across game modes to be dismissed as random or anecdotal. Whether it’s baked in or the result of an overlooked system bug, it’s making Crucible miserable for long-time solo players.
Please—can someone @Bungie at least look into it or check my account for proof?? I just want an honest answer, or even an explanation. Anything.

Not another post using destiny tracker % chance to win as an actual metric. I thought we had progressed as a society. RIP.

Edited by TrunkMonkey: 6/22/2025 11:35:53 PMI rather have drip sweating off me playing a neck and neck game then have bungie give me 2 people who have no idea how to play this game.. at first playing in ascendent pool it wasent bad it was 99% people who knew what they were doing lobbys but now its like here comes the guy who will get 3 kills in a match while the other 2 have 20 plus kills. who ever carried these people to ascendent you are part of the problem.

Not directly bit you can put up post on Twitter. They rarely come to these forums seeing how toxic players act.

The PVP in this game has become a joke, even servers can’t keep up with players movement and they look like they’re rubber banding all over the place.. sometimes i feel like I’m playing on an old Atari specially when coming back from games like Valorant

From another long time player. This games pvp isn’t meant to be taken even remotely seriously. How they’ve handled the game is evident of this. And that isn’t a bad thing. Chaos can be fun. So long as it’s understood that you aren’t going to get fair fights, fair matches, and a balanced sandbox. I wish it had a serious space but the closest thing is private swears with rules made by kids. It took me years to get this into my head. I still disagree with their handling of it but it is what it is. You’ll enjoy your time a lot more once you let go

It's a game of team play and strategy. If you dont have prior people to play with... when you join solo you are accepting those conditions.. make posts ask people to play... make the effort... otherwise... shut up and play.

Na They DGAF lol they are too busy copying others work and all the company stuff they are dealing with
I’m genuinely asking: is there any way to speak with someone at Bungie about lobby balancing?
Not in any meaningful way, unless you want to work there.
-
lobby balance? they cant even get the cheater situation under control, its just pure chaos behind those doors are bungie.
-
I've had 17 game losing streaks, I feel you though, complained here for years. People aren't kind here lol
-
Yeah something is seriously off. I swear 70% of my games are a blowout one way or another.
-
Apply for a job at bungie?
-
Only play pvp drunk like I've done for past couple years. It's way more fun :D
-
No they don't care
-
They don't care about the player base only your money!

Talking to someone at Bungie and having Bungo LISTEN are two completely diametrically opposing things. Another thing, which all of us that have been on here for all 10+ years now knows, absolutely nobody at Bungo pays any attention to their own forums. In fact unless you post a name of a cheater there is no intercession on these forums. You'll need to head for to reddit to be ignored with at least a 0.0000001% hope that someone at Bungo glanced over your post before they forget about it.

What mode ? Iron banner ?

Its a matchmade game with a dwindling population that isnt made for pvp to begin with, you arent going to get completely fair and balanced matches all the time. It wouldnt prove anything

Edited by Lumis: 6/22/2025 12:00:43 PMThe PVP population is so low now that all you're gonna come across is the Twitch streamers who continuously switch their guns as they run to prevent their crosshairs from snapping onto players behind walls while they are using their cheating software and devices.

Edited by Stari: 6/22/2025 9:47:27 AMI play FPS PvP games for 25 years almost every day, mainly Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield and Destiny. I was really high ranked in some CoD's. .... But Destiny is something else......This game just won't let me get better/ good. I'm practicing for thousands and thousands of hours and my results are getting much, much worse. I am not getting worse as a player, because in other FPS PvP i'm doing pretty well, only getting worse results in Destiny. There' s something really wrong with Destiny 2 PvP. I don't know if it's peer-to-peer, lag, location, or even my Gamertag. For example: 6vs6 is literally unplayable at this moment. Almost all 6vs6 matches feel like i'm in a parallel match, which is a second behind. And I would also like that someone from Bungie would come play at my house and see how Bungie is treating people with bull***t happening in a 2025 online shooter.
