Creativity has the [b]potential[/b] to be great, the problem is when it lacks any source material to make it fit the narrative, when this happens it is a continuity or remake in name only. If whatever it is that is new can't follow established canon then it will be really lame. Secondly, making everything sequelled to death on nostalgia and corny jokes is also not the answer. A good example. Lucas's Star Wars and duo Trilogies as opposed to the new crap Disney keeps crunching out, of which only two have [i]fan[/i] following (Andor/Mando).
