To be clear at front I did not share any personal ifnormation about my accounts with anybody
My steam account was hacked and so it does my destiny 2 account
I'm writing this message on my epic account which i'm using to pick free games from there but it has by any meaning connection to destiny account I only connected it with bungie.net today to write this message.
Unfortunetly with my steam account it did not have any additiional verification steps and even worse
it shares the same password as my email adress… (Yea I know..)
I recover my email and put new password and all other securities right now there, however I'm still waiting for message from Valve about my steam account.
However (that's this weird twist) it seems I'm still connected with my stolen account via DIM and I could see all my inventory and changes the hacker made and also I could log in on my stolen account on bungie.net by my Twitch connection
My original nick/id was clawm28#0406 which is now change to presto#0406 and it seems to be connected (account linking) with steam/epic/xbox (I was only on steam)
Xbox-frickpresto Epic-ilypresto
Also at my stolen account at bungie.net I can see that my original verified email stayed, which is clawm28#wp.pl (polish website)
although the steam account email was of course changed.
Now is there anything I could do with that little control that remain of my destiny 2 account to do something to take it back? To give some proofs that it was stolen?
And if it can be suspend until hopefully I'll take back my steam account? I have on my email some of those bungie notifications about ''congratulations on conquering Sundered Doctrine, Salvation's Edge'' etc where it also shows my original nick clawm28 and email clawm28@wp.pl.
Also I guess I could also write it down things that I just did on my stolen account but i'm afraid the hacker would notice and take additional measures to cut me off completely.
Also got problem with steam Retail CD keys. I bought only digitaly and from what I understand they should be on my email address when I bought some game, but I couldn't find
anything as I said my email was stolen also so either I couldn't find becasue I'm omega dumb or hacker stole and delete those messages from my email.
Sorry I'm just really nervous and I have no idea what to do as this was really important account with thousands of hours literally almost every titles ever and god Rolls
also not sure if it's important for bungie but through destiny 2014 to early forsaken I played on ps4 with the same name clawm28 then I took a break and later in Shadowkeep era I started playing again this time on pc on steam with the same nick but those two accounts where NOT connected I've just start playing fresh at that moment and played pretty much religiously. (also I bought 21.06.2025 both expansion for year of prophecy :C )

If they have linked any other accounts to your Bungie profile, then unfortunately those accounts will be permanently linked and will not be removed by Bungie - there are no exceptions. Your only option is to get the Steam account back, what you'll want to do is use the Self Locking Tool that Steam provide for now.
How do I lock my account if it is stolen? Locking your account is simple. When certain Steam account changes are made, a notification will be sent to the email address that is associated with your account. These include the following: Password changes Email changes Steam Guard code requests In these various notification emails you will find a link to lock your account. Once clicked, you will be taken to a page to complete the process. Even if your email address is changed on your Steam account, you will still receive an email with a lock link confirming the action. When locking an account, please ensure that you write down the provided unlock code. Once the account has been secured, this code can be used to remove the restrictions.
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/01DE-9E83-B094-313B
