It's my first time playing through TFS, and I've enjoyed it thus far, but who's genius idea was it to make the last story mission for TFS a 12 PLAYER MATCHMADE ACTIVITY WITH NO THRESHOLD TO JUST START THE ACTIVITY. Seriously... I've been playing the game since D1 and I finally was convinced to come back only to be softlocked by one of the biggest oversights in the game. After completing the rest of the campaign on legendary I can't believe that the most difficult part of the entire thing would be sitting in matchmaking for multiple hours with 10 or 11 others without the activity starting. There's no option for me to solo or do it with just my own fireteam and for some god forsaken reason the game REQUIRES 12 people to launch the activity!!!! Seriously, what did you guys think would happen when people hop on the expansion late? I've sat in the queue for multiple hours at this point to no avail. I'm blocked from completing both the campaign and unlocking a pinnacle gear activity. This is the type of thing that gets me to uninstall and regret even trying to come back to this game. These games have been a huge part of my life, I sunk thousands of hours into D1 over its lifespan and hundreds into D2. I can't stand that I can't play through its conclusion because someone thought it would be grand to have a large scale activity that you can only play through once, but requires all 12 to start... horrible design and foresight. It's almost like you don't want old players to return, or new players for that matter. And to think the whole issue could be fixed if the activity would just launch at even 11 or 10 people... hell even 6 or just go down to 3 like everything else. Then again, I wouldn't know if it's possible to complete the activity with so few people... because I can't even play it.
