Destiny a looter game?
How is destiny a looter game? A lot of people are upset about the soft sunsetting and the reply is always something about "you don't want loot in a looter game?". I might just be spoiled, but destiny isn't a looter in my opinion. Borderlands is a looter, diablo, world of warcraft, and many other games. What do they have in common? Every group I engage drops 3-5 pieces of loot. Destiny does not drop that much loot ever. Destiny is more like a space magic game that has some loot. Not a looter.

Edited by Rho Herculis: 6/26/2025 12:08:08 AMThe people that keep parroting the ”it’s a looter” argument completely dismiss the fact that this ten year old game is changing the way, how, and why people acquire stuff in the game. If this has always been a looter-shooter and how “looter-shooters” are supposed to work, that’s really not how the core of this ten year old “looter-shooter” used to work yesterday. It’s valid for long time players to be confused, frustrated, and questioning these changes.
