Sucks to see it play out in real time but it's hard to ignore at this point. I really didn't think it would ever be as bad as Curse of Osiris but EoF is looking like Curse 2.0.
Good luck out there yall, glad bungo broke the cycle for me finally.

Facts. Hopefully this serves as the end of Bungie as a company. Gut the management. The devs that care can go on to other projects. It will be a happy day.

Me too. I refunded my pre order. Game has been uninstalled. Basically stopped playing after the Heresy story ended. What an absolute shambles of a studio.

Friend, I played marathon open beta. It was basically just destiny patrol but somehow worse.
-
No. They banked on the Star Wars nostalgia to be enough to carry Edge.

Edited by Joulevette12: 6/26/2025 1:51:37 PMYea they did I was just saying this yesterday that, i honestly think they want to drop destiny but they can't because it's their only money maker and income. When you look at it the promotion of Marathon is proof that they banked that game with the promotion and advertisement that it got way more than EOF ever did since its announcement last and this year. I think they finally reached IP exhaustion.

Edited by Zodleon: 6/27/2025 8:15:32 PMNo, they would never do that /s. But no, really, they didn't, they banked it on several projects that they burned some amount of resources, manpower, and money on. Tmk pretty much all of which, including a multi media adaptation if I remember correctly, outside of the mobile destiny game and marathon (because it was too deep in development) got canceled. That's the story last time I heard it. Which imo is worse, because there is actually the slim possibility of a chance marathon at least makes its money back. All the rest is burned resources that could have been used on something else.

I didn't think I would ever sympathize with a post like this, but lately after rolling with the dumpster fire of Marathon and seeing the "reveal" of EoF, I finally waded into the waters of apathy. I just have no desire to engage with the title anymore, or a model that seems to build itself on forcing me to login and dedicate hours to building formulas for equations I was never going to try and solve anyway. It's possible the game simply just isn't for me anymore and I can live with that moving forward. Be careful here though, this lions den still occasionally produces those who make it their life's work to defend absolutely everything this company does or spits out. I can move on, knowing the company and game isn't what I remember. And thats okay, maybe thats what this post is really, a reminder to myself and anyone else who might read that sometimes moving on was just the answer all along. Good luck out there Guardian, the greatest gift Destiny gave was learning to roll with the ocean's waves and storms that came with it.

CoO 2.0 would probably be good compared to what's coming.
-
Kepler is basically just the same concept as Neomuna...
-
I'll be chasing Oraxia and new gears for a while
-
And the stupid gummy bears game, and some other dumb game that never made it.
-
Companies that have a good product don't stop making it because there bored of it. They make it better or even a better process lowering cost and expanding sales. Sony knows all of that and gave bungie enough rope to hang themselves . l expect some big changes coming to this studio. not in the best interest of those involved or affiliated with bungie.

You'll be back for the Star Wars rip off cash grab, throwing money at the screen, lol
-
I think it’s a time to celebrate and let new Guardians take up the fight. Take a break, this game is easy to jump back into.
-
lmao.
