Why stasis will get a nerf ?

In this week TWID Bungie announce that shatter damage will, starting in EoF, stun overload instead of unstop. This will make stasis the only subclass in the game to stun only one champion type. I don't want to be dramatic but this kills a lot of stasis utility imo. Before if you used stasis you only needed an anti barrier gun to cover any champs the game throws at you, but in the EoF you would need an unstop option as well as a barrier one, making buildcrafting on stasis more *rigid*. While bungie's reason behind such a change is understandable, it feels really bad from an utilitary point. As said before this change will make stasis the only subclass in the game to stun only one champion type, and as a consequence every subclass except stasis will have less loadout restrictions, due to them having more anti champs capabilities. As a final note, I would like to see bungie rethink about this change, as it hurts more than it seems. Stasis felt weak before episode revenant and this change could really make stasis, once again, feel like an under-subclass.

 • Stasis is getting a nerf because Bungie made a utility-focused Subclass (complete with a lower damage output), and then put that utility on weapons (because there was no damage to put there that wasn't linked to the utility), and then got mad when people made utility weapons. Champions were made to push a meta; that's undeniably their purpose, no matter what Bungo PR will claim. Because if they were only to increase challenge, we wouldn't be limited to specific weapons to deal with them; Banes increase challenge in that way, and they came after Champs. Bungie hates the idea of 'getting around' their 'challenges' in any way they didn't intend. Look at Notswap and locked loadouts; that isn't for fun, that's to slow us down and keep us within clearly defined parameters. And instead of just taking their lumps and accepting that players were making their own fun answers to the more irritating 'challenges' put in their way, Bungie has decided to remove players' fun, again, to preserve the 'challenge'.
