I literally posted about this kind of issue over a week ago, however, the issues slowly got better until it returned to normal.
However, it has suddenly come back - and worse than ever.
This time we're not getting error codes, nor are we even making it to character select, we're getting hit with a "Servers are unavailable" warning. This time however, we haven't bothered troubleshooting after seeing this time reports coming from other countries (Such as Russia) also being affected.
For the love of god - as someone who isn't able to play this game as consistently as others due to work - can your servers just work during times when my fireteam have planned to do activities that we have been unable to do until now? For me, I was hoping to finally finish off Vidmaster since I was informed Minotaurs would be up for Expert this week, along with also grinding out Raids for their Red Border drops, and the one day I am able to get during a time where both myself and my fireteam are online & away from work, the servers go down.
Seriously, with EoF coming out in less than a month, this is genuinely a very poor look for Destiny.

Same issues here, Australian pc gamer, high end pc, iinet connection, but same issues when using telstra 5g. Bungie, could you please, pretty please, with suger and spice and everything nice, get your sh*t together. Everyone pays a premium for this game, and this is what you deliver? Last week I had a heap of network related errors, chicken and other server/network connection errors, usual bungie stuff. I re installed the game overnight and everything worked for almost a week. Closed the game yesterday evening, and now it won't even launch, every other game and all internet tests work fine. Verified all files through steam, updated drivers, etc. etc. Destiny is still the only game that does not work. I'm now re installing for the 2nd time in just over a week. if this does not work i'm just going to get a refund on my edge of fate pre purchase. Plenty of other games to play and I'm willing to give up my 4.5k hours played for a game that works. I'm not angry, just dissapointed /facepalm

Back again with the same set of Australia connection issues. Approx 3:30pm after getting halfway through a raid the connection immediately drops and says Destiny 2 servers not available. Not error codes - servers not available. Network troubleshooting has once again been performed with no change. It has given the exact same message ever since, going on 6 hours now. Just over a week ago Australia was hit with the similar issues and Bungie said “we’re looking into it” and then it was quietly “fixed”. Better get fixing again.

Same issue here, just got back into playing last week for the first time since before final shape, has this been happening often? Can’t sign in, chicken, centipede and weasel error codes, for about the past 2hrs

same problem Aussie here as well, you know they only a small indie company can only afford back water servers from like 20 years ago lol, someone stuck their -blam!- in the wrong socket again, i would hate to see what EoF launch will be like if it's like this only 2 weeks out from launch

Edited by Soulseptem52: 6/27/2025 9:32:38 AMI had the same issue with it a while ago. It appears to only effects half of the internet providers but everyone else is OK. The issue fixed itself with the weekly reset but has now broken again. This time i'm not even getting an error code. I am eternally stuck at longing in.

Born to Well, Forced to Song of Flame - old
I've gone back onto my regular internet (was on a hotspot due to this server issue causing chicken and centipede errors) and was able to now get into the game after sitting through a bunch of "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers", however if it's like a week ago, I'm betting around 8am - 12pm AEST the servers will die again. -
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out!
