As a PvP player I do everything within destiny raids dungeons etc. But I am asking what am I honestly buying for this dlc. Because I’m canceling my pre order. This because I don’t think the things I am looking forward to aren’t the things they will cost money.
I am looking forward to ;
- new armor changes.
- new competitive weapon to use for 6 v 6
- exotic armor changes.
- new sandbox changes.
- trials weapons.
I am not looking forward to ;
- portal and reintroduced old activity’s
- new destiny not being a planet but an seasonal stuff.
- the new raid ( raid races are not for the average player and I’m no longer a hard core pve grinder )
- pronounce lead streams of bungie about new arctype weapons.
- the train under delivering of shipment kinda destiny development ( I mean bringing out a dlc with issues who will be fix within a year unless they are not game breaking aka new subclass unlocked ).
So my question is if I don’t order the new dlc what am I missing ? Just a honest question and these are just my opinion. I’m not trying to offend ppl. Just asking honestly what am I buying.

You won’t know what you’re missing until the expansion drops. It’s no different than pre-ordering any other game. Actually, it is a little different because you know some stuff. It’s perfectly ok to not own the game and be finished everything on the first day it drops. Cancel your pre-order, wait, and then see what people say about the new stuff. That’s what I intend to do, and a lot of others are going to do as well. It’s not about hating on Bungie or the game, it’s just a lack of trust for me. If it’s good, then I’ll buy. I hope it’s good because I still like the game, but if it sucks, it’s not going to ruin my life.

Unfortunately, you will need DLC purchase to access ToO - But other than that; if you don't play D2 for PVE, doesn't look like much is happening on the pvp front in terms of value for $
