No, they would never do that /s. But no, really, they didn't, they banked it on several projects that they burned some amount of resources, manpower, and money on. Tmk pretty much all of which, including a multi media adaptation if I remember correctly, outside of the mobile destiny game and marathon (because it was too deep in development) got canceled. That's the story last time I heard it. Which imo is worse, because there is actually the slim possibility of a chance marathon at least makes its money back. All the rest is burned resources that could have been used on something else.
