Solar Hunter Main here.
I've kept the Aspect of "Gunpowder gamble " on since we got Solar 3.0.
As of Edge of Fate, the self damage is being reduced by 60%.
Which leaves me asking, does whomever is revising/designing Hunter abilities grok themes in play?
A high yield improvised explosive device made by wiring and duct taping a bunch of trip mines together should 100% percent be Danger to the Hunter that made and tossed the damn thing!
Those who don't main Solar Hunter don't know that the GPG has a bug or a feature, nevere learned which it was.
If you throw the GPG as soon as it is charged, like 1/2 second.
You will immediately get another!
Which is completely on theme, because you are in grave danger if you are throwing a...

The self damage of the GPG wasn't a flaw it was a feature!

Gunpowder gamble should have a tradeoff, unfortunately more often than not, doing some substantial damage with it is rare. The only time you actually do a nice bit of damage is when you're sticking someone in pvp and the lob speed is so slow, my grandma could dodge that. And with the recovery meta of 10, more often than not, its very situational if you can clean up a kill with it. We have to see in edge of fate if that is still the case since recovery will be capped at 60
