Once a lightning-fast power fantasy, Destiny 2 now feels more like trudging through molasses in a dream where everything hits harder—but you don’t. The thrill of unleashing chaos, of crafting builds that made you feel like a walking supernova, has been steadily chipped away with each balance patch. Sure, developers aim for “fairness,” but when fairness comes at the cost of fun, everyone loses.
The endless cycle of nerfs—be it to Supers, Exotics, or weapon archetypes—creates a meta that feels neutered and overly sanitized. Instead of rewarding creative playstyles, the sandbox now punishes anything that breaks through the grey sludge of mediocrity. It doesn’t feel like you’re optimizing anymore; it feels like you’re surviving.
And then there's the pacing. What used to be adrenaline-fueled gunfights now drag on, bogged down by health-spongy enemies and mechanics that stretch encounters past the point of enjoyment. Seasons repeat themselves like a lukewarm sitcom—predictable, slow, and lacking the punch that once made Destiny 2 unforgettable.
If excitement is what lured Guardians into the stars, boredom is now pulling them back down to Earth. Playing through the high-powered Destiny 1 sandbox recently has made this fact very apparent.

It is a easy way for a bad company to paper over cracks as they have no original ideas for content. Make players weaker leave the end game the same. Just a lack of ideas now maybe its tims to put the game down for Bungie and just say bye. I have a few ideas that would make me interested again. 1 All subclass in prismatic build crafters enjoy 2 New champions which require a stun and a damage shot to keep them stunned basically 2 players need to work on a champion while 1 clears adds or whatever the game is at that point. 3 Do not change the armour and make players get to 400+ to have a chance at tier 5 weapons it way to much grind in a boring way. 4 Pvp need new maps a few new weapons and some fun modes aswell. Maybe just get rid lf the lighthouse and make it a match by match luck drop or weapons and armour and still have the glow for 5 and 7 wins. 5 Maybe double handed weapons 2 side arms or a 1 handed sword and a hc. 6 THIS IS A BIG ONE BRING IN NORMAL PLAYERS WHEN YOU LET THE STREAMERS PLAY EARLY. I honestly taught this be common sense but letting the cabbages who make a living and are just yes men might be a bad idea for the average players. So get some das in who play 5 hours a week get some kids in who play 80 hours a weeks get some middle of the road players who play other games in get a variant but they dont its stupid. Miss out on all the good information avail to them because they could nit give a rats about us. Its just some ideas to make this game playable as it is so boring with the same champs same everything the new weapons might be good but thats not worth 100 quid to be honest they need to fix alot of stuff before a player increase will happen.
