The dlc year bundle is overpriced if you don’t get it from CDkeys. I live in the uk and the price for the dlc year bundle without buying it from CDkeys is 69.99 British Pounds Sterling.
For what’s on offer for Edge of Fate is not worth HALF that amount, for one singular reason.
There isn’t enough on offer to be worth the value. One exotic for each subclass, new guns, one smaller location than prior expansions.
It’s not really offering a sufficient variety and from what is shown, in this launch of the expansion, we are just getting recycled content we had before which I assume is also free to all players.
However if the price for the expansion bundle was officially lowered to 50 dollars/pounds. It would be worth it.
From what I saw, it’s only worth 15 dollars or maybe 18 dollars for this expansion which is actually more respectable for all players including the players who are free to play.
I’ve also did some calculations on the value of what we will be getting if the price was lowered to 50 dollars/pounds.
50-full price of expansion year bundle.
33-full price of both Edge of Fate and Renegades COMBINED. Plus without the value of the reward passes
I do believe I’ve got the conversion rate wrong but I do believe what I am saying in general with this post should be sufficient to understand the point.
I do expect the argument that maybe renegades might have more content to offer than Edge of Fate however I do doubt that future assumption. I do believe the price does need to be lowered officially (not through CDkeys purchases)
Now….Rite of the Boring.
First of the guns are trash compared to the guns from Into the Light. Into the Light gave us, guns were lost from the sunsetting, raid encounters randomised and Shaxx.
And it wasn’t story oriented which is great because I think it’s time events like this including seasons are less story focused and more fun, quality of life improvement and maybe a real roguelike mode where your gear is taken off you, you start off with white wears and armour, each run is on randomised in both enemies and arenas, additional side quests to grant higher levelled gear including exotic variants of raid guns like we had in destiny post Rise of Iron.
Anyone remember the Exotic Fatebringer back in the day?
And upon completing the run in the roguelike mode, you get the legendary weapons and armour versions of Roguelike exclusive loot pool. Give the devs an excuse to bring back old weapons and gear.
Calling the Roguelike mode: “Dimensional Collision” or something similar.
I just want the devs to perform a Hello Games and just make things happen. Like an apology to their community by providing them with an abundance not recycled content.

How many hours do you have in this game? I'm pretty dam sure your cost of entertainment via the Destiny franchise is about .00003 cents (US) per hour. Kinda hard to beat, yes?

My issue is where is the content that's not free or QOL? Where's the meat and potatoes of EOF? For $100 USD what we are currently getting is a joke. Hopefully, the stream on Tuesday will shed some light on that subject, but only time will tell. Bungie, we better see something good in this final live stream or you're going to have a very upset community. Things are on edge enough as it is.

You get for 80 us dollar the following: 1. New Raid 2. EoF 8 campaign missions 3. New Dungeon 4. Renegades 8 campaign missions 5. 2 season passes with cosmetic stuff 6. 3 exotic gear armor pieces 7. 3 exotic weapons Everything else will be free to play anyways (strikes, destinations etc). The 100 us dollar edition got eververse stuff but its just cosmetics so the complete year cost 80 us dollar. And if you ask me thats expensive. Its not much content….

I think your touching on some of the frustration felt by players when they had these smaller content drops like Curse of Osiris and the Warmind DLCs shortly after D2 launch. Curse used a lot of used a lot of gimmicks, had a small play area, and was non linear in its gameplay. the infinite forest didn't live up to its name, and one of Destinys more iconic characters was reduced to a mere vendor. EoF seems like they forgot all the previous lessons, or just plain ignored them. The EoF sales are down 50% over the same period last year in the lead up to the final shape launch. it does seem like bungie seems to have fully cooked the goose that laid the golden eggs this time. i don't know how this is going to play out, all i can say for sure is that I;m done paying for Destiny 2 expansions.
