This kind of concept isn’t new. Asking for this is almost like asking for the current episodes “particle reconstruction” perk to not exist. It’s a perk that incentivizes using fusion rifles this season. There’s something like that every season. This new method just adds a little incentive to use seasonal weapons instead of focusing on a specific weapon archetype. It won’t be crucial to success and hopefully won’t be the sole difference maker between great weapon now, trash can weapon next season. I can’t say I’m a fan of this direction either, but time will tell how big of an impact will have.
