Every healthy, active loot game sunsets gear. The fact Bungie doesn’t is why there is nothing in the game to do. You can’t give players power and then let them hold onto it forever. There is literally nothing to chase right now because nothing in the game is as interesting or powerful as the stuff already in your vault. Do they is no incentive or reward from playing… When Bungie caved on sunsetting the first time…and this place was celebrating and laughing..I said that players had won the battle over sunsetting, but did realize they had lost the war over fun, interesting loot to chase. I said the problems that you need sunsetting to fix (power creep, loot relevance) hadn’t been solved and we’d be right back here in about two years…. …and here we are. Again. ….and we will keep circling [b]back[/b] here every 18-24 months until we let Bungie do what they need to do to make the game sustainable.
