Hear me out. Most of us worked very hard for all our God-tier rolls and armor. Now Bungie will make all that work meaningless in EoF. Trick me once, shame on you. Trick me twice, shame on me.
Did you ever consider just playing for fun and not giving a -blam!-? Extremely hard content gating impossible to get RNG rolls, screw that, just collect strange coins and wait for
Xur.
Deleting all your important godrolls to make room for impossible to get 5-tier weapons? Bullshit! Just play with the older stuff and play strikes for strange coins.
Maybe work hard for new exotic weapons but nothing else, unless it can be crafted.
Rushing to 450 light? FU! I would rather play PVP control and not give a F!
Piss Bungie off by leaving 80% of the content untouched! Learn the magic of not giving a -blam!-! It’s so liberating and you will have more fun!
Food for thought! Let’s teach Bungie a lesson.

Bungie is introducing NEW armor that has better stats and perks, just like they have done countless times in the past. As fas as I understand it, they are not nerfing your old Armor. They are giving you better options to chase. Admittedly, I don't know how much better the new armor will be... If it is too good, then it will FUNCTIONALLY obsolete the old, because no one will want to use it
-
This is what Ive been doing lately, I am playing way less, I figured out its just easier to not care about a dungeon exotic or a raid, or getting the new stuff I am phasing out for sure and I will not grind all over again Bungie doesn’t understand their players
-
People are more likely to drop Destiny 2 all together ... Bungie needs a test server for Destiny 2 that players can play to give feedback on the plethora of issues. However the servers seem to be less stable since the beta of Marathon ... I don't like the writing on the wall, many companies have failed in similar scenarios.

I bought and will play it. And my current guns will be just fine.

Or play something else. It doesn't matter if you're playing new or old content. You're playing the game and that's all that matters in Bungie's eyes. If you really want to send a message to Bungie, don't buy anything from them and stop playing the game altogether. Bungie never does anything positive unless their wallet or player population is hurting.

Edited by SkinlessGorgon: 6/30/2025 9:03:15 PMThey don't care if you buy, it play it, snort it or step on it. All Bungie cares about is that you buy the content. We've seen all this before with smaller content drops, and lengthening the grind, just to slow players progression down. i can directly point to Season of the Chosen in 2021, and Curse of Osiris and Warmind DLCs in 2017-2018. We see what happens, massive player drop off. the hardcore burn out and the casuals never get there, get frustrated and quit. it seems to me that the lessons of the past seem never to be learned, players time will always be disrespected. I've said many times over the years, and in this forum, that expansions will live and die on the raid content. this time there is no raid. They better show something worthwhile to keep players engaged in EoF, other than a firing range and menu gameplay. With pre-orders down 50% over TFS what do you guys think, is it time for the black armband, will bungle finally kill Destiny? Do you think Renegades will sell over borderlands 4? if they make D3 with the Cube from mundfish be the final nail? IAll I can say is, I'm not really invested in the game, and have been checked out for years. As soon as i see EoF release in a few weeks, I'm setting sail for the West. Over to you guys !!!! Edit : in answer to your question, i don't think there is going to be enough in there to Quiet Quit.
-
Better yet. Stop playing their game altogether. Go play something else that actually respects your time as a player. I'm with you in this sentiment, I just think it can go further.
-
Quitting? Quietly? A Destiny 2 player?

Edited by The Hermit IX: 6/30/2025 10:11:54 PMI’m buying it and playing it. My weapons will be just fine. I don’t view them as sunset and they’ll be viable in any content in EoF. I’m also looking forward to the new armor system. We’ve had 2.0 for years so it’s a welcome change for me. Curious to see more about content tomorrow.

As long as you pay, why would they care what you play?
-
Wonderful idea. Quit and quietly leave the forum like a man. Boycott them, be strong.

If you're this worked up about a game, my suggestion would be taking a break. This isn't a job, mate. They won't delete your account just because you don't log in for a month. To put it in your terms, rather than "quiet quitting", just take a vacation?
