Edge of Fate Preorder Cancelled, here’s why:

There comes a point where grinding becomes a full time job in Destiny and even after all that, the weapons and abilities are so excruciatingly terrible that power fantasy at its core ceases to exist. Armor 3.0 was the dealbreaker for me in that I don’t have the time to grind out Tier 5 armor pieces for my characters. Everything Destiny offers, games like TFD, Apex, Borderlands, Warframe, Helldivers 2, and various other games can do but better, because we are actually having FUN doing it. No wonder none of the people on my friends list play Destiny anymore!
After all these years, Bungie continues to push the narrative that grinding and nerfing are necessary for community engagement and balancing. Those lies are now debunked and people are moving on because they, like myself, realize that life is too short to not be having fun playing a damn game. Bungie was a pioneer for a Sci-Fi looter/shooter, but this is where this journey ends for me. Quite frankly, any game that goes mobile (e.g Destiny Rising) is telegraphing to their fan base that the IP is in serious trouble of continuing on, see Diablo: Immortal for reference. I wish I could say it’s been a nice journey, but it’s been a journey. Stay classy, Guardians.

4 RepliesI enjoyed TFD, but got bored after a while, once I unlocked everything. They have a great mod system, so much to choose from, and vault space was NEVER a problem. Also jiggle physics now😏 if you're into that. Spent plenty of time there grinding out all the "exotic" weapons and characters, and all made better by the fact that it cost me [b]ZERO[/b] dollars, that's right, everything I needed was absolutely free. 20 different characters and as many exotic weapons to play for all for free, nothing locked behind a paywall, just time invested to acquire. I haven't played any of the new season so I don't have the newest Descendant, been playing a ton of other stuff, but I'll definitely go back to it, time permitting. I'd definitely recommend for anyone to try it out if you're over Destiny. It'll be a good change for you and definitely give some perspective.
