Just Add Tier 5 To Recent & Craftable Weapons
And the biggest problem regards Sunsetting weapons is solved.

They should but they won’t. Also they should have the new gear bonuses off of just 4 armor prices so we can run any exotic armor we want. Play anyway you want, as long as it’s your way, huh Bungie?

1 ReplyThey should add a tier 4 or 5 upgrade consumable, earned from tier 4/5 difficulties that you can use to upgrade your pre-EoF weapons with. You’re grinding the activities they want you to grind and we get to keep our favorite weapons relevant, that seems like a win-win.

How are these changes any different than Bungie coming out with a new weapon that is better than your old one? You wouldn't complain about new weapons being better...

I don't know being able to upgrade gear from T0 (old guns) up to T5 in some way would be more in line to the (RPG) part of the MMORPGFPS looter shooter thing (or equivalent) destiny is...would encourage gameplay rather than scare people away from it...having seeable and tangible progression that you can keep with you is rewarding and organically encourages active play... people will naturally get bored with a gear set and play style over time and move to other things is an individual choice...forcing players to play outside of their preference is bad... Intentionally locking in a meta requiring investment just to drastically change it in the next season just to do it again is torture equivalent of Sisyphus and his boulder....

Why can’t every weapon just be reshaped to change their barrel and mag perks with maybe the possibility of changing the masterwork/enhanced intrinsic like they do for some of the raid adepts -
But what are you going to do if you can’t grind old content for the best gear?

The point is to take that away from you so you have to grind out everything again. With no decent, quality gameplay to make you want to play it, they have to force you to. -
I wanted to reach out to discuss some frustrations I have been experiencing regarding the recent changes in weapon and armor usability in Edge of Fate. I currently have 3 Rufus's Fury, which I can used in this new context, but I've learned that to obtain a foil vision with more perks, I must rerun the Root of Nightmares raid. This is also true for all other raid weapons and armor. It feels very disappointing, especially considering the money we all spent this season. It seems as if the ornaments bought for our current weapons and armor have become a waste of investment because they’re not usable in Edge of Fate. While I appreciate that we can use older weapons and armor, it’s frustrating to realize that those items will be underpowered. I have dedicated 8327 hours into this season only to feel like all my efforts and acquisitions are being sidelined. It is disheartening to have to consider throwing away everything I’ve collected and starting over. It's not right.

1 ReplyI think even if they said ok you get to infuse 10 old weapons and armor to tier 5 we would be excited to try all there changes. As it stands now it sounds like a flipping nightmare grind. I surely don't want to hear oh you don't have to have tier 5 to play the game oh horse pucky , I want tier 5 and the way it sounds I'll never reach it...

Yes it will. And my builds will. Seasonal buffs are always a lot but look, do you always go all weapons with the burn or not? You can do GM or master content without the burn with any build. Now it's a major issue somehow that some weapon might have a 10 or 15% damage bonus? Come on. I got prismatic radiant and forget to use it all the time but still the boss will die.

Craftable weapons will be fine a good perk combo will still be good despite not being tire 5 in fact for the majority of content you won't even need tire 5 hell I'll be doing raids with tire 4 at most and old weapons and I know I'll do fine . Tire 5 will be more of a flex than anything
