’Twas the night before Edge of Fate Livestream II, and on every thread,
Doomposts and copium freely were spread.
The devs promised answers, a roadmap, a stream—
But the subreddit buzzed: “Don’t crush the dream.”
With pre-orders cancelled, and emblems obtained,
Fans gripped their keyboards, braced for deceit.
With popcorn in hand and expectations low,
They gathered on Twitch for the livestream show.
When out from the devs there arose such a chatter,
“We’ve heard your concerns — about monetized chatter.”
Away to the chat I flew like a flash,
To witness the mods delete backlash en masse.
The lighting was dim, the backdrop pristine,
As the dev team appeared on the virtual screen.
And what to my wary old eyes did transpire?
A cinematic tease… then a content creator’s choir.
They spoke of alignment, of vision, of soul,
And dropped lore so vague it looped back to whole.
“You are the fate,” one dev said with a drawl,
“You are the moment. You must be the ball.”
The chat went unhinged — some cried, some laughed,
One spammed “based,” another typed “daft.”
Yet in all the confusion, one truth stood tall —
No one really knew what it meant to be the ball.
Then came the name — Kelper, they said,
Whispers of something long lost or long dead.
A stranger, a power, a threat, or a friend?
The trailer just looped with no clue to the end.
“Tier 5 is coming!” the devs did proclaim,
But none were convinced it was more than a game.
“More grind for the gear you already own?”
Typed someone who’s clearly too jaded to groan.
And yet when they asked, “Any roadmap ahead?”
The silence hit harder than anything said.
No charts, no targets, no dates on the wall—
Just vibes, and some lore, and the will to “be ball.”
TL:DR lets all try to enjoy tonight's livestream (01/07/2025 1800 BST)
