My feeling about this franchise, is just as its making good momentum and direction that I am liking... They turn about and change so many things and systems that dont need changing and go off on an entirely new direction. There has never felt like there was any real goal in the game, no real focal points to draw me in to the world. The stories all come in small little ripples, which have had no continuity. To the point that I just stopped caring about anything story/lore by mid D1. I liked the gameplay and loops in the game, which was something that they had improved over time through their systems. Which they would decide to remove, and implement a completely different system. No concise direction in where the game was moving with the systems in place. The EoF information that I am seeing, is trying to reinvent the systems yet again, in a way that I am not interested in honestly. It feels like by design, the draw out additional playtime and make us re-earn the power that we have already had, only worse now because it will be timegated even more. I have always disliked seasonal power grinds, but when its just 10 power level, I can live with it. I just feel that for me, this is kind of the last straw... with over-complicating the stats, weapon/armor tiers, and weapon bonuses. While at the same time, removing much of the games system that I have been familiar with over the past 5+ years... So, I feel like my attachment to the game will be severed, and in a sense it will be a new game, without the new game title, and without the ability to play the old game in the system that it has been in. So, maybe there is no better time to walk away.
