Why are we spending money on EoF?
The "3 Player Seasonal Content" that was glazed over in 30 seconds saying it can't shown or talked about because it will ruin a story is not good.
Grinding Armor and Weapons that will again be downgraded in Renegade is not content.
Grinding the Campaign is not content.
You said you listen to feed back but are doing the same ole D2 playbook of "Grind this til you hate it" play.
I'm just stunned at this point.

It's wild how intentionally they are shitting all over their players and the game. Solo strikes after a decade of feedback asking for them, ok, finally. Infinite and targetable pinnacles, man, that new seasonal power system makes this almost feel like a necessity, good that it's here, but all of the parts surrounding it just sound even more annoying than what we currently have. Everything else, 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩 Fair and equitable start for everyone! Except it's literally not, and won't do a -blam!- thing about actually keeping things even in the community. It's a kick in the balls to the engaged, and the casual won't even notice. Same idea with guardian ranks which were already a dogshit system. Oh everyone is going to be level 2 now? -blam!- that -blam!-. "Hey hey hey the portal like bro dude the portal it's like uh a clearer and easier to engage with system. We went ahead and buried everything in even more tabs and menus, require you to add modifiers to get loot that will be worth a damn, oh and the modifiers? Don't worry, we heard your feedback loud and clear, y'all hated all the new ones we've brought out lately so to fix that we made EVEN MORE DOGSHIT ONES so you can play the most unfun version of Destiny EVER! I know that sounds awesome but it gets even better, we wasted our time and Sony's money, creating modifiers for our streamers that almost no one will use, but if you do you can pretend to be your favorite streamer who barely even registers on the charts! Wait, people still stream this game right? Where's Datto... Hey we heard your feedback about not wanting to have to play the campaign over on multiple characters and we've decided, you're right. You should have to play it so many more times than just 3! In your new favorite menu, The Portal™, we've set up the campaign and new destination to be an endgame pursuit so you can just run it again and again and again and again and again, so you can get some shitty loot that we'll make even shittier in 6 months! No longer do you have to do it 3 times, now you're gonna have to do it ad infinitum! Huge hobby game, big grinders only, up top no-lifers! Oh you didn't like that one? Oh uh... Ok... Rare miss for us, ok ok ok we gotchu hold up. When you get tired of doing the campaign over and over, you can uhhh... Do... Umm.. oh -blam!- I almost forgot you guys hated sunsetting right, all those amazing seasonal playlists that had almost no one running them but clueless first timers who didn't know any better, they, THEY can be our "new content" and like um it'll feel like new content because you can smear SO MANY dogshit modifiers all over them so you can get bare minimum loot. Huh? Huh?! Sounds amazing right?! High 5 team, we really nailed it with this one. Money please 🥺🫱 we really need it because we -blam!- up our other projects so bad. Whoo Destiny 2 though, wheeeeooooo!"

Watching the stream, it was a drinking game, the amount of times they mentioned "content creators" or "influencers" the game is only catered for them. Meaning massive grind for content videos and then guide videos can be created for efficient grind. The game is not for the average gamer these days, only playing games as a job is Bungie's new philosophy.
-
Bungie thinking grind is content really has killed the game
-
When I heard about the changes of the DLC, it just reminded me of what happened back in the D1 days. Gear and weapons became obsolete for most of the new content that was released. Seems like that bit has been forgotten? Doesn't really bother me that it's happening. Plus I got my girlfriend to start playing D2 over a month ago. Something both of us can play together and enjoy.

I think part of what bothers me in their presentations, is that they are just poorly made presentations. Sure, I can appreciate the developers doing a deep dive discussion, but it comes off as if they are really trying to stretch time I don’t know if they’re trying to replicate the casual vibe that warframe dev streams have - but that is for a fully free to play game. But destiny is produced by AAA Studios, so I expect a certain level of polish and professionalism in their presentations. I get that there’s a certain level of distain for “corporate speak“. It’s just I personally would prefer something like a ViDoc that gets straight to the point. Like, I have seen update presentations from mod teams working on fan projects have which came off as more professional than what I have seen with “edge of fate“.
-
... or hang out in the shooting range? 😥 Seriously though, there was nothing in that livestream that screamed "buy me" ... and even sticking around as free to play means trawling through an endless power-gear grind, it's very disheartening. ☹️
-
So all the other expansions where they basically throw the entire story in your face for the reveal....suddenly they can't show anything because "spoilers".
-
"I'm just stunned at this point." I'm not because this has been their motto since Destiny 2 released, but it's more so now than it ever has been. This all comes down to you and your decisions on how much you are willing to deal with, because this "Bungie" will never change. No, I don't play the game anymore, why would I when you just proved nothing has changed in the last few years when it comes to trying to manipulate the entire player base.
-
Hey, they wouldn't want to over deliver now.
-
I actually laughed out loud when they said “we listen to feedback and monitor the data.”
-
This is the first time I'm genuinely not excited for an expansion.
-
I think they listen well. The nerf everything pvper’s cry about.🤷♀️
-
Jones ~Æternum~
Bring the audacity - old
The more they show us, the worse it gets. I am really not excited about any of what I’ve seen so far. -
Creatively bankrupt, "don't overdeliver" mindset, minimum effort "content" and they wonder why people are leaving and they have two layoffs
-
This will probably, more likely than not, be the first expansion I will pass on since D1. SUNSETTING IS NEVER A GOOD THING. also no mention of pvp at all? What a -blam!- joke. let’s make the most mid pve looking content and then completely ignore pvp
-
To each their own. But I don't want an item that's only effective for six months. Maybe there will be a "workaround," but still, it's like a disadvantage in general if one doesn't have current weapons and gear. Not with what's coming in two weeks...
-
Agreed lol „grind it til you hate it“ 😂🤣
-
Get Over It.
-
Can you all just wait until the content is out. Don't preorder it if they aren't showing enough for you. It's pretty simple logic here.
-
🤣🤣 You clowns are still playing this garbage. You deserve everything that Bumgie gives you. Keep spending. Get half-@$$ed content.
-
here to read the toddler zombie comments
-
Not showing the Seasonal Content because it might spoil the story is the weakest excuse ever not to show it off. What could it possibly be spoiling? We know Edge has to deal with the Nine and Kepler, so the location won't be a surprise. If it's dialogue you're worried about, you know there's an option to mute it? We're two weeks away and all we're being sold on is old content and Sandbox charges.
-
this guy is asking a new activity every single day lmfao
-
Why are we spending money on EoF?
Anyone continuing to spend money on this garbage game gets no sympathy.
-
For the most part I tend to agree with you, however, grinding the campaign, increasing the difficulty, leading to that perfectly lauded run... Does sound like content.
-
All they have to do is add more Strikes. Gives a dungeon. I haven’t cared about the goofy story since 2014. I’m not going to start now. But I still got Helldivers 2 and some other cool games to play.
