I think part of what bothers me in their presentations, is that they are just poorly made presentations. Sure, I can appreciate the developers doing a deep dive discussion, but it comes off as if they are really trying to stretch time I don’t know if they’re trying to replicate the casual vibe that warframe dev streams have - but that is for a fully free to play game. But destiny is produced by AAA Studios, so I expect a certain level of polish and professionalism in their presentations. I get that there’s a certain level of distain for “corporate speak“. It’s just I personally would prefer something like a ViDoc that gets straight to the point. Like, I have seen update presentations from mod teams working on fan projects have which came off as more professional than what I have seen with “edge of fate“. ———————————————————————————————————— [b][u]Edit[/u][/b]: I mention this, is because whether we like it or not appearances matter. ([i]In case that wasn’t obvious enough with all the fashion posts in the game community.[/i]) And you want a presentation that gives the appearance of [u]competence[/u] and [u]confidence[/u]. And having Devs fumble their words, lose track of the topic, just sitting there in the quiet doing demonstrations, and apparently arriving in pajamas — does [b]not[/b] give an impression of confidence nor does it hype up the player base. Which is pretty critical at this point considering we are 13 days away from launch of the start of a new saga.
