Edge of Fate is just Warframe 1999...
Watching the recent Trailer they really just copied what Warframe did before them with the whole time travelling and time clashing.
Tempted to cancel the Edge of Fate preorder ngl after seeing it because Warframe essentially done that concept for free and tbh I've played Warframe more than D1 and D2 ☠️

1 ReplyI have over 6k hours in D2 and 1.5k hours in warframe and apart from shooting aliens and numbers appear, they are vastly different.

5 RepliesDon't insult 1999 like that, 1999 was revolutionary in a sense that it brought romances and rpg elements like Player Choice into a looter shooter, and finally puts human faces on Warframes, there is no Nyx or Excalibur anymore, just my wife Eleanor and bro-in-law Arthur The best Bungie has done is a irrelevant choice between Jermain(D2 Drifter) or Vanguard, 2 sides of the same coin, because it has to be cookie cutter one size fits all universe

Tbh, I wish D2 took more inspiration from Warframe. I don’t know how deep the mod system in Warframe was back in 2017, but it seems like D2 was trying to go in a similar direction at launch. I’ll keep saying it; I wish they continued with that instead of panicking and going back to pure rng rolls.

6 RepliesEhh I definitely see parallels (train cars, time travel, the timing of it happening). However until I see the actual campaign I will refrain from saying it's anything more that inspiration when they were creatively broke. As for all we know there might be very little time travel actually involved and it it might just be another pale heart aesthetic.
