Jumping Mechanics is a way to slow down everything, detract from lack of combat content and even act as a block to progress or completion.
Can’t hop about like a demented flea, can’t get to shoot the bosses.
If I wanted a game fit for a WII I’d have bought a handheld console.
Oh, and raising the floor to turn everything into a bullet sponge doesn’t make it more difficult, it makes it boring. Full mags to blooter a red bar? Give me a break.

Edited by Zodleon: 7/4/2025 11:48:48 AMThis one is weird. Destiny has always had platforming elements, and since at their core fps's are very simple they are usually defined more by the additional genres they incorporate through the lense of being first person shooter. Bullet sponges are a valid difficulty option, though it is the most boring and lazy option, especially when overused which is definitely the case in destiny lately

Destiny has many jumping abilities, skating...grappling...rocket jumps, flying...etc... And you complain about "jump mechanics" that are basically : "You see this plateform ? Jump on it" Its actually one of the unique things about destiny x)

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 7/3/2025 2:02:52 PMLooter Shooters aren't really defined, all of them are a mixed bag of other genres , and all of them have puzzles and mechanics, and we have had everything from fishing, to baking cookies, to racing And you say you just want to shoot the boss, but also complain about bullet sponges, so I guess you don't want to shoot too much Destiny is a lite MMO, meaning quests, puzzles, character progression, mechanics, and it has always been that , from the development of D1 till now If you just want pure shooting, COD and Battlefield would be more your speed

Maybe they are training the Vex like "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball" or the classic Stu Francis from Crackerjack fame (ancient UK TV Show) "Oh, I could crush a grape" On a more serios not, I thought it was just me that thought the matterspark ball sections looked like a mobile game.
