Bungie, how do you expect people to keep trusting you when you haven’t even fixed the issues you said you would?
You keep hyping up this new expansion—Edge of Fate—expecting people to spend money and keep playing. But let’s be honest here: you’re still not fixing the problems that have been in the game for months.
Take the Sons of Doctrine dungeon, for example. You’ve said multiple times you’re working on the exotic drop rate. You even claimed to release a patch to fix it. But it’s still broken. If the drop rate was 0.05% before, it feels like it’s now 0.055%. Players are grinding and getting nothing. You keep saying, “We’re working on it,” or “We’ve identified the issue,” but nothing actually changes.
Meanwhile, you’re telling us to get hyped about a new expansion? Come on. How are we supposed to be excited when the core issues in the current game aren’t even being taken seriously?
Let’s also talk about the decision-making behind the scenes. It’s pretty clear that some of the people calling the shots—the so-called “good old boys” at the top—haven’t ever seriously played Destiny. They’re handing down ideas that make zero sense from a gameplay perspective. It feels like they’re just throwing out whatever random idea comes to mind to see if it’ll make a quick buck.
They’re not thinking long-term. They’re not thinking about the community. They’re just thinking about money. And they don’t care if those ideas push players away or destroy the trust people once had in this franchise. The decisions feel so disconnected from the actual game experience. It’s like they could say, “Let’s make the sky fall and call it a boss, and the hitbox is some random floating light that moves around every 10 seconds.” That’s how far gone some of these ideas feel.
To the devs and team members who have been here since Destiny 1—who actually care about this game—stand up. Speak out. Push back. Because this direction? It’s not it. It’s costing you the little trust and fan base you have left.
At this point, you’re not just lying to your fan base. You’re milking them. You’re draining the last bit of hope from the most loyal players you have—the ones who still want to believe in this game. And the ones running things? They don’t care if they plummet the company. As long as they get paid, they’ll move on. But we, the players, are left picking up the pieces.
Bungie, you literally have a golden nugget right now with Rite of the Nine. It doesn’t take rocket science to see you could expand that system to every dungeon and raid and bring players back. The whole community has been asking for this for years, but the “good old boys” keep ignoring it because it doesn’t put instant money in their pockets.
You’re chasing money, but you don’t know how to make money the right way. You have good ideas but keep throwing them away. The game could survive on its own if you’d just listen.
You’re trying to push Edge of Fate, but you still haven’t fixed the major issues everyone keeps bringing up. Instead, we get nonsense updates and hollow responses. The people calling the shots don’t care about the game. They just care about their paycheck. Look what happened when some of those people got fired—they sued quickly. That tells you everything.
You might fool the younger crowd into buying Edge of Fate, but the real players—the ones who spend their own money—see through all the smoke and mirrors.
Stop the nonsense and fix your game. People still want to support you, but you’re letting these good old boys ruin everything.
You need to stop the nonsense because you’re about to end up just like Activision—letting these good old boys screw your game and your company up. Remember, people remember names. And if you’re thinking inside the box, keep thinking inside the box. But know this: we see what’s happening.
