It's that the solo playlist is just window dressing. A cloy. Mostly meaningless. Because the best gear is still beyond reach for 99.9% of those who like play solo.
Again, just a backhanded slap at those of us who prefer to play alone.

Limit yourself by playing solo you limit your loot not a game issue
-
What are you going to use that gear for if you're solo? Patrol? The Strike Playlist?
-
We’ve learned that the main draw of the DLC is to play the campaign agian, and again and again.
-
You will probably be able get tier 5 gear soloing a master dungeon
-
Amen!!!!
-
Solo players should have the chance to get the best gear.. ridiculous they don’t think of this

Edited by ben: 7/7/2025 12:09:29 AMWhy is this a NEW complaint. Destiny has only over time gotten more friendly to solo players. Of all times why now do you bring this up. In Year 1 d1 you literally could not hit max level without raiding Destiny had no raid-caliber experience geared towards solo play until dungeons There was no way to farm exotics and endgame materials before master lost sectors in beyond light Were you complaining then too or just randomly decide that now, when they are deliberately making solo playlists right in your director in the edge of fate and making the solo experience more and more enjoyable, is the time to complain about it

Idk the hole portal concept is a good idea but how it’s presented it’s questionable

The best gear drops often once you hit 500, so you can grind totally solo if that's your thing. Read the twab, tier 5 items start dropping once you hit 500.
-
They have given solo players solo ops. What are you talking about. You can get tier 5. If you are unable to, well consider watching the "how to improve" videos. But they are directly catering to everyone with this model from what I'm seeing.
-
Misinformed asf
-
Pretty sure the solo ops playlist will offer up to Tier 5 loot. Some items are exclusive to certain playlists but that is just a given. But I doubt there isn't some good gear from the solo ops playlist.

Bungie use to do stuff like craft great multiplayer lobbies. They fired the employees who knew how to do that. 🤣 It’s a feedback loop at Bungie. They fire a bunch of people then the Bosses go “make it look new again.” And we get two years of bad management and team leadership. Repeat.
-
That the majority of everything going on is Free and people are probably gonna pay the 40 bucks to have the power of friendship and a raid
-
Good point.....even better nickname 🤣🤣

OP: What did we learn, Guardian? Guardian: I don't know, OP. OP: I don't -blam!- know either. I guess we learned not to do it again.
-
It looks like guardian rank wasn’t enough of a flex,so now level is tied to your ability to take on harder content. Seems pinnacle leveling is gone. I did chuckle when I saw tier 5 gear has an obvious look. How long before they disable shaders that make tier 1-4 gear look like tier 5? lol I’d say wait and see if it’s that much of an issue for you. There’s a lot of changes so maybe details were overlooked or they glossed over it intentionally.
-
Dude it’s what they’re doing. All the crying in the works isn’t changing what drops in two weeks. If the solo ops isn’t for you then go FTP or play something else.
-
Did you not see/read the part where better rewards are given for higher difficulty modifiers? And did you not see/read that we get to pick those modifiers when playing solo or with a premade fireteam? You can get the good stuff, you just need to play harder stuff, as it has ALWAYS been the case. They even said that by the time Ash and Iron comes around, anyone that reaches 500 power level will see tier 5 stuff dropping VERY often. Anyone complaining that you need to play harder stuff to get better stuff is frankly being blindingly entitled, to which Bungie will never cater.
