Bungie you lied

The only reason I picked Destiny a dozen years ago was because as a player I was promised “Character Progression.” I was told that events I did, worlds I explored, enemies I fought, gear I unlocked…would stay with me. As an old Diablo player this “feature” is the most attractive aspect of Destiny to me. Being able to actually see my gear in the game world. Knowing it’s unique or tied to certain feats. This is the greatest lie Bungie ever told. If Bungie was honest about Sunsetting I would have never played Destiny to begin with. I would have probably dove into the Star Citizen universe or something and right now be showing off my football stadium sized space ship, I get to keep, forever… as advertised, like I paid for. I’m putting this in “Feedback” cause that’s what it is, Feedback to Bungie. I feel your company has many issues, issues that seem to start at the top. The Devs, artists, engineers, and play testers don’t seem to actually have a voice or a say at Bungie anymore and it’s clear this why the company is struggling. CEOs don’t know how to make products, they know how sound good to investors (who also don’t know how to make products) Sunsetting is a huge betrayal. Especially after everything we’ve been through over this topic. Bungie: “TLDR” The TLDR: Start to actually listen to your employees and fans. Who actually understand games

 •
If Bungie was honest about Sunsetting I would have never played Destiny to begin with.
They didnt know they would be sunsetting when they launched. D1 was 2014 and d2 2017 and Sunsetting took place in 2021. If it bothered you that much and it was make or break for your decision to play D2, why did you keep playing? Which fans should they listen to? The ones who want to cling to every thing in the game AND want more stuff added to the game without making the old stuff irrelevant? Or maybe the fans who want to chase new better loot? Or maybe they should listen to the fans who say stop D2 and work on D3, or maybe the fans (at least claim to have been) who say Destiny is done, move on to something else. You say you want them to listen to fans, but really think you just want them to listen to you. At the end of the day, Bungie is going to Bungie and to expect anything more is setting yourself up for disappointment. You were upset over a full sunset, kept playing, and now upset over the softest sunset, if you insist on calling it that, that could be.
