Alt accounts of hackers in PVP to avoid bans

My friend pointed it out to me since I was naive enough to think there were actually new players on this game especially in comp and general PvP, that a sheer large number of hackers are just hopping between multiple accounts to avoid getting banned or to get easy matchmaking for paid carries. This needs to be addressed. Accounts with medium to low triumph score that exclusively play PvP, comp and trails need to be mass purged and banned. The sheer number of low season pass rank (30 or less) and 10,000 or lower triumph score accounts I’m encountering is just staggering. It’s soul crushing. These aim not using hackers have been amassing entire pokemon level collections of various alt accounts to hop between, sometimes switching multiple times daily, to avoid getting banned and flagged by too many suspicious wins and too many reports. They’ll even occasional do some story missions or pve activities to boost their account grimoire score so they bungie will overlook them as a potential hacker since the brand new accounts with nothing accumulated are too easily flagged. These worst offenders have been exploiting bungie’s kindness and using the very system in place to protect actual fair players as means to circumvent detection and banning. Please please please just ban these people in one massive wave. It cannot be that hard to find multiple accounts all operating from the same clan or accounts that almost exclusively play PvP but only occasionally throughout the week and will specifically play and target game modes like trials and comp rather than just playing various PvP modes for fun. These people are not spending money on the game, you can detect accounts show have explicitly not bought any recent dlcs and yet somehow still log in weekly to play PvP game modes, especially comp and trials. We don’t need these players in the game, let them go hack somewhere else

  • Why does almost every post that mentions TRIALS type it wrong? Maybe play less and learn basic English skills.

    • Cheating in video games should be studied as a mental health disorder. There is no way a normal human being be so compulsive about cheating. Is sociopathic behavior and people going through it should get help. Making everyone else life miserable just for the giggles is creepy.

Players who don't own the most recent DLC can't play trials. Bungie doesn't look at players grimore score when investigating a reported cheater or as you say hacker.

Sadly a lot of cheaters, harassers and toxic individuals have multiple alts. Bungie don’t deal with it.

Playing a couple of comp matches is part of the new light quest (unless that’s changed since I last ran through it). I’m not saying that all these people you’re encountering are new players. Just that new players are specifically directed to play at least a couple of comp matches.

          • Yeah new players dont go directly in competitive pvp I recently came across a few new players (We recruited some in the clan as well) And they mostly despise pvp in destiny They are looking for the best gear, to create builds. To complete story/raids/dungeons etc... Defo not to jump into comp (especially after trying pvp a few times lmao)

Pvp is wild, the real life variables are crucial for success. 1) can you remain cool under pressure? 2v3 will you panic? These are human behaviors that dictate winning and losing. 2) muscle memory. Learning a sequence of inputs and have it permanently embedded in brain. 3)adapt on the fly. Knowing when to change your approach

              • Came across lots of noob accounts in the past two days, that don't play like noobs at all, in fact, they were quite skilled, ruthless, organized, and cunning. Highly suspicious if you ask me, and there were a lot of them, too many to report.

              • I've noticed this, too. The most of them have an Adventurer and Veteran titles.
