Exclusivity and charity do not mix well.

The new Neon Fade Emblem is currently being exclusively given away through the Game2Give charity event. While charity itself is a good thing, the incentive behind the giving is not. The people who are giving the money for these emblems are not charitable people by nature, they are just wanting the exclusivity of an emblem. The kids should be given knowledge of where the money is procured, through malicious intent by doing exclusive emblems to get money. Anyone who has bought the Neon Fade emblem is an narcissistic lowlife that do not care about this charity. They just want the clout to say they got a rare emblem. Remove this disgusting behaviour from this community Bungie.

  • Update: Someone is currently reselling one of the Neon Fade Emblems for $600. Yeah sure, they probably spent a lot in the first place to get it, but now greed is causing this person to resell, and make a profit. All charity emblems should be available for all at a fair price. I am thinking $7, to avoid situations like this. Emblem exclusivity is asking for disgusting greedy behaviour. I do not care for exploiting of people, and I think a limited Emblem is an exploitation.

  • Alright man, heres the deal… I had a friend that got an exclusive emblem, was happy to know it was unique, it came around three years later in an other buy. He was very mad. So here: did you donate??? No okay Then stfu If they are willing to give to a cause then by all means I care not what they think or how they are because in the world money makes things happen, and if they actually are donating enough to help others then shut up because we actually do need help and no, idgaf about knowing who it was that helped me because I am simply grateful for the help… unless of course it is as one said a personal charity as in you reaching into the life of another to uplift them. Thank God for that and thank God people will throw cash at a charity for aomwthing they think is cool lookin. Sothey don’t give it all, they still round up a large sum and give it… so thank God for that. Thank God they give at all, no matter how big or small and you know what if the people are smart enough to GET someone to donate then wtf are you up in arms for? donate and help someone dude. Not like the person needing help wants to sit and thank all 65,000 people who helped make their treatment, their recovery their whatever they needed charity for happen because then that is overwhelming… also which is more conceited for real: Giving to you so you have to thank me in person or giving anonymously and simply knowing that someone got help they needed? In a way you the bitter one just making an egregious claim to what to what these donor are.. not good either bro. If it really bothers you that much, instead of typing like this go research which charities give the most back to their campaign and start advocating and raising awareness to the construct.

  • The funniest thing about all of it is that you are being serious! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I used to donate blood for concert tickets. The people that needed it didn't give a damn that I was getting something out of it as well. I bet the Game2Give recipients don't care about how the benefits of the event got to them either.

This is why tons of charity organizations sell incentives to get you to donate.

    • Charity is a good thing. Does 100% of the proceeds go to charitable networks and tax write-off? I don’t know… The real issue is this: Why do they reserve the hardest looking emblem behind a paywall while your solo flawless dungeon and hard pinnacle emblems look like straight DOGSHT

      • Wow your very judgy. Some people like giving to charity and if they get some cheap bit of digital gift for it they don't really care. So maybe don't paint everyone with the emblem with the same brush especially as you can't prove they all acted out of selfish want and not a desire to do good.

          • I'm all for giving to charity, especially with kids charities. The thing that makes me scratch my head is why not make the emblem to be purchased like the other emblems in the charity? Make it a little more in price since it is a clean emblem. I'm sure they would make a lot for charity that way.

          • And now, I feel more validated with the fact they have emblem gambling on the bungie store. They are so out of ouch with exclusive emblems locked behind money. The only emblems that should be exclusive, is day 1/content mode ones, or like special events like Pantheon and Rite of the Nine. But emblems solely locked behind money is disgusting, especially now with emblem gambling on the bungie store.

Personally, I wish people who wanted to "give to charity" would just do that directly instead of helping Bungie with their yearly tax write-offs. Beyond that, who cares.

          • What a weird take. If an emblem means more people can benefit from the charity isnt that a good thing?

          • Idk to me this screams I’m mad that I can’t get the emblem I want. Regardless of the intentions, it’s more money that flies to the charity. If they removed all incentives then a lot less money would be donated.

It doesn't matter the intentions of the Donator , if they cared about the cause or just wanted the emblem, the money will help the same And having an exclusive item like an emblem has incentive would get people who normally wouldn't bother to donate, ensuring maximum donations Your just mad because you can't get the emblem for free

Plenty of reasons to criticize Bungie, but this isn't one of them, chief. No charity is 100% pure. Anyone with a brain knows that. You have to weigh the positives with the negatives and decide whether or not YOU feel it's worth giving away your money even when you know a business takes a portion.

Money goes to a good cause....do you really think that the people who are the beneficiaries would care that people are only donating because they want an online digitil portrait? You're making it sound like this is blood money lol.
