https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360048716612-Bungie-net-Profile-Account-Creation-Linking-and-Recovery So I started playing Destiny years ago in College originally on Xbox One, during the pandemic I started playing on PC with my girlfriend at the time and it created a new Bungie.net profile, giving me two separate bungie.net accounts. Recently i've purchased a Series X and would like to enable crossplay through the two platforms, as my PC is in my attic space and it gets hot up there. According to the link above, account unlinking is no longer allowed, but underneath that it says you can merge bungie.net accounts. "Merging Authentication Methods from Multiple Bungie.net Profiles". I tried following these steps but still get the "account is tied to another profile" error. Is there no way for me to get crossplay between Xbox and PC back since bungie made this change? I'm not gonna create a new gamertag just so I can play my Steam characters on Xbox. If thats whats required its kinda ridiculous.
