Edge of Fate

I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts regarding the current season and the recent changes coming with Edge of Fate. I must say I find the focus on searching for secret chests, bugs, worms, and puzzle-solving to be completely boring. It does not captured my interest at all. Additionally, I feel quite frustrated about the weapons and armor I’ve invested time into collecting, only to see them nerfed in Edge of Fate. It feels pointless, and honestly disheartening for players like me who have dedicated so much time gathering gear. At this point, I’m not inclined to purchase Edge of Fate, as I have no interest in re-running older content just to obtain updated versions of items I already own. Weapons such as Rufus's Fury, The Summoner, The Riposte, Chroma Rush, Fair Judgment, VS Pyroelectric Propellant, Age-Old Bond, Abyss Defiant, and Shadow Price (adept) all took a significant amount of time to acquire god rolls. Now, with the upcoming changes, those weapons seem to be becoming obsolete. While they can still be used, they won’t be as effective as the new versions. I’ve made the decision to stop grinding. I paid money for these weapons and armor, content that I purchased, and now it feels as though my investments of time and money have been disregarded with the changes coming next season. It raises the question: do you understand the impact of these changes? You took my money while rendering my hard-earned weapons and armor worthless. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. Best regards,

It feels like they’ve sort of given up. The majority of these changes are uninteresting and not compelling. The focus has shifted from facilitating build crafting and encouraging weapon experimentation to a cycle of temporary grind just for the sake of it. Get ready for a cycle of players feeling forced to “optimize the fun out of the game” over and over again like clockwork. Less diversity, less experimentation, more grind, more hamsters on the wheel. Edit: Actually, probably less hamsters on the wheel with these changes.

  • Well, it's hard to comment when you got a locked profile page, but I'm assuming you've got alot of time on your hands. So farming weapons and gear is a chore, but also for certain players, with to much time on their hands it's something to do when there isn't anything else. It's the endgame after the endgame. Now changes have to be done. The game is dying. People aren't playing, and we'll the game is in a rut. And for me as a player that takes months breaks every now and then getting back is a cluster fk. It's so confusing. They have been doing this to long and the map, gear, quests are just a mess. They need a reset. It sucks for you but it's so much better for alot of players, that might still keep playing or return to the game.

Your gear isn’t getting nerfed. It’s astonishing how that falsehood is continually perpetuated by players who are uninformed. You can complete any activity in EoF with the gear you have now. The game would be unplayable if what you just posted was true. Step back and think about what you posted and how absurd it sounds. Kudos for you taking the time and making the post respectful though. Your gear is going to be fine my guy and it will take you through the process of farming new gear no differently than any DLC.

Best regards,[/quote] Secret chests aren’t the focus of the expansion. They’re just extra stuff so the destination has stuff to do. Your old stuff isn’t getting nerfed. Like every release, there’s a degree of power creep with new stuff. You won’t be running old activities for reissues of stuff you have. There’s new guns bro. All those guns you listed are staying exactly as they are now. No nerfs, no buffs, just the same. Armor is being updated to the new system, which is a buff compared to now since stat values give greater bonuses.
