I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts regarding the current season and the recent changes coming with Edge of Fate.
I must say I find the focus on searching for secret chests, bugs, worms, and puzzle-solving to be completely boring. It does not captured my interest at all.
Additionally, I feel quite frustrated about the weapons and armor I’ve invested time into collecting, only to see them nerfed in Edge of Fate. It feels pointless, and honestly disheartening for players like me who have dedicated so much time gathering gear.
At this point, I’m not inclined to purchase Edge of Fate, as I have no interest in re-running older content just to obtain updated versions of items I already own.
Weapons such as Rufus's Fury, The Summoner, The Riposte, Chroma Rush, Fair Judgment, VS Pyroelectric Propellant, Age-Old Bond, Abyss Defiant, and Shadow Price (adept) all took a significant amount of time to acquire god rolls. Now, with the upcoming changes, those weapons seem to be becoming obsolete. While they can still be used, they won’t be as effective as the new versions.
I’ve made the decision to stop grinding. I paid money for these weapons and armor, content that I purchased, and now it feels as though my investments of time and money have been disregarded with the changes coming next season. It raises the question: do you understand the impact of these changes? You took my money while rendering my hard-earned weapons and armor worthless.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns.
Best regards,

Edited by The Hermit IX: 7/9/2025 12:18:19 PMYour gear isn’t getting nerfed. It’s astonishing how that falsehood is continually perpetuated by players who are uninformed. You can complete any activity in EoF with the gear you have now. The game would be unplayable if what you just posted was true. Step back and think about what you posted and how absurd it sounds. Kudos for you taking the time and making the post respectful though. Your gear is going to be fine my guy and it will take you through the process of farming new gear no differently than any DLC.
