Recuperation nerf

I understand that you want to push the health stat but only 15 healing for using an entire mod slot is crazy. It will be entirely unnoticeable and just a waste of a slot. Could you think of increasing the amount to somewhere around 30. This still gives the health stat a good reason to exist but also gives you worth for building into it.

    Being that you pick up multiple orbs at once I don’t even think you’ll notice this unless literally one orb is on the ground. Idk why they’re nerfing literally everything.

    • Bungie gonna find just cause you change the number from 100 to 200 you still have to balance the 30% stat increase armor charge and other mods already give. 🤣

    • I love how every week we learn something new and go "Why are we nerfing this important piece of build crafting?" then someone goes "Well if you build into it you'll get the old effects!" and now there's like 4 of these. So we need to build into 4 stats to get our old effects. Which if I remember we can only build into 2 with the rest being kinda lost especially when armor will have types preventing certain combinations. We're getting hit in a bunch of spots and told we can get it back if we build into a specific stat but then told we need all of them to get to our previous level of power.

        Don't forget Day 1 known issues for Edge of Nerfs isn't even available yet for us. Can't wait for that! Also, by nerfing recuperation Bungie inherently buffed the Heal clip perk.

          • I think it's pretty bad considering the subclasses who needed that mod the most are now getting a stat tax in the new system And these subclasses without built-in healing were already considered pretty bad. Like, does Broodweaver really need a Health stat tax just so it can not get shredded?

                It's just forcing a stat tax for Health. You need roughly 80 points in Health for 55 healing per orb, so with the mod slotted, you're back to 70. If you go fully into Health, you get 70 by default so the mod is just extra healing at that point. Everything is being changed so that you have to build into things we used to get "for free," stripping away that power fantasy and crippling any build that isn't overly specialized in whatever area it needs to be for the content you're playing. It's not explained well at all and assumes you've been keeping up with all of the upcoming updates, which is a big ask considering they're basically running most of their remaining players away from the game with each new "sneak peek." TL;DR: as long as you have 80 Health, you'll have the old values with the mod slotted. EDIT: This also seems like another nerf meant to clip PvP and the Reaper mod, but they don't want to say that out loud.

              • Any positives at all to this game anymore? All I see is negative feedback from everyone aprt from the 5 or 6 people who blow there beans at the game who defend every thing bungie does ahhahaha.

                  That is because if you read all the changes the health stat will recover HP when picking up orbs of light when invested past 100. Or simply put in "patch note" format: [i]•Recuperation will be folded into the Health stat when exceeding 100. •The Recuperation mod will have a deprecated value(15 down from 70). [/i] Too be fair Bungie did a poor job explaining this. But they are also in a vicarious position where they do not know their a[b]s[/b]s from their elbow at the moment. This is because some of the player base has a more complete understanding of systems then any one currently working at Bungie due to lay-offs.

                      Ah yes, I see my plans to play strand and stasis builds on my hunter went to f... themselves. So Im stuck on void again in a solar/stasis/strand season. I really hope Sony just guts them like a fish at this point.

                        Yeah, I think they should've put it down to 30 instead as well. You get 17.5hp per orb from the health stat at 25 which is essentially the default when you have your armor masterworked. So I think most people are just going to replace it with Better Already. I expect a massive uptick in builds that utilize things that heal you like Banner of War or Restoration. As for Stasis well that got nerfed again I guess with shatter no longer doing unstoppables and now the only way to reliably get healing also being nerfed.

                        • Honestly, I thought they were going to get rid of the mod completely. This to me is a win. The Health stat is not really something we can afford to put stats into but we need as much benefit as we can get from it. This takes away some of that. The Health stat will give .7 HP back on orb pick up for every stat point you put into Health. This caps at 70 HP at 100-200 stat. With Masterworked armor, you will have a minimum of 25 Health stat. That will give 18 HP on orb pickup +15 for Recuperation for 33. If that is not enough, put some more stats into or consider using a Font Mod. Of course the Font will only work when you have armor charges.
