Authentication problems
I'm having problems unlinking my cross save from my playstation. I have an account that I'm sure I linked, but whenever I've tried to link it to play on my computer, it shows Authentication Error even when I can log in through anything else. I'm wondering if there is a way to forcefully delete the cross save connected through my Steam account to link the correct email and stuff? As it doesn't seem to let me do so by normal means.

1 ReplyEdited by EckyThump: 7/16/2025 4:47:42 PMHey there, as of March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink platform accounts, originally you had to deactivate cross-save and then accounts could be unlinked from your Settings, but as of this change, this second part can't be done. Additionally, I see that your characters are Stadia ones, currently they are accessible on whichever system you launch the game on, through cross-save. However it means that deactivating cross-save will cause the permanent loss of all of your characters, inventory, progress, etc. I am assuming this is not what you want?

Hi there. The characters you're playing with are from Stadia. [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/10347044092564-Save-Your-Stadia-Characters]If you disable Cross Save, they will be lost forever[/url]. Also note that as of March 25th, accounts linked to profiles can no longer be unlinked, so if your intent is to remove the PS account from your Cross Save or try to swap accounts, that is no longer possible.
