cross save help
so i been playing destiny 2 on pc through battlenet and later on steam ever since destiny 2 came out,
earlier this week my pc broke just in time for the new release (a day before sadly) and i decided to play it on playstation5 but then ran into problems.
so my bungie account has been the same since destiny 1 when it was only on playstation4 and then when destiny 2 launched naturally i kept using the same account and didnt think much of it until now, i cant link my ps5 account to my bungie account because my old ps4/destiny1 account is linked to it and doesnt have the option to unlink it and playstation have some sort of issue so it doesnt send me an email when trying to recover the old account, from what i can read here bungie doesnt help with such matters by the looks of it.
am i just F'ed forever doomed to never play D2 on playstation ever again unless i decide to rebuy the whole franchise and loose all cosmetics and progress from the past 8 years?

1 ReplyUnfortunately due to the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]March 25th change[/url], your currently linked Playstation account is permanently bound to your Bungie account. Even prior to that change you would've needed to be able to authenticate the Playstation account in order to first disable cross-save and then to unlink it. You are correct in saying Bungie doesn't help as their policy is that they will not unlink accounts for people for any reason. Your only option is going to be through Playstation support and having them give you access if you aren't getting their recovery emails.
