According to Luckyy 10P, most of the top teams that cleared the Desert Perpetual Raid in contest mode cheated.

I shocked, shocked I tell you!!! You mean the anti-cheat doesn't work even when everyone is watching people play live? Who would have thought?
Yeah, somebody should get on this problem.
I'm being sarcastic, just to make it clear for those who had their sarcasm sense removed at birth
Edited by Monkey: 7/26/2025 5:06:12 AMits probably like 70% of the people on pc are cheating in all forms lol..Bungie have no way to stop these people with their fake battleye Also, there isnt a youtube content creator who doesnt overreact with everything when it comes to this game..Lucky is a perfect example
-
Just putting this here... I submitted a cheater report on a guy I found in lfg who flew around and insta killed the witness (with video proof) OVER A YEAR AGO. I checked on the report today... it is marked as "Open" and "Low Priority"... absolutely shameful on Bungie's part. I understand cheating may not seem like a big deal if it's done in lfg on a random raid that's been out for a little bit... but Bungie needs to nip that sht in the butt everywhere as soon as it happens - because if you give someone an inch, they will take a mile... people will bring their cheats into the hardest content the game has to offer, including contest raids... as we all clearly saw (not to mention the financial incentive these cheaters have to do so). HARDWARE BANS! Get to it, Bungie!
-
Who cares who cleared on day one? I don't! I do not cheat and generally not into bragging about what I did in a video game. It is all a waste and means nothing in the long run, eventually D2 will go away and all yours, mine and everyone's pixel achievements with it. I left WOW years ago, do you really think it matters that I cleared a raid? Or attained this piece of gear, or achievement? Of course it does not matter. If players need to cheat and bungie lets them, so what. Bungie is not changing the game to make cheating go away, they are changing the game so average/casual players leave. Let the cheating and hard core players duke it out. None of it matters or is life changing.
-
Imma say the say thing I said in his video. 70% is insane but are we really surprised about this. I blame BUNGIE because players have been saying the past couple of months cheating in all three modes has sky rocketed to insane levels going rampant and since they laid off most of they security team this is the result of it. This just made it more obvious that this game has a cheating problem that needs to be addressed.
-
Bungie is clueless. Make the content fun to play and people won't feel the need to cheat. Anything Mythic or ranked A+ isn't enjoyable to play. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this turd dlc.

Edited by Interpol89: 7/26/2025 3:46:15 AMYou guys think that it makes bungie look bad, but in reality it's a bad look from the community. I'm honestly not surprised though, because this community always looks for the easy way (or in this case cheat) without having to actually earn an emblem, or weapons. The player base and bungie both deserve for this game to fail.
-
Well if they issue bans, there goes another 20% of the playerbase. :)
-
Not only raid , that is basically 70% of this game pve & pvp included.
-
TACO_Adept
Jeffrey's Client List.. - old
But no banning, because it will affect player numbers. There are actually more cheats in this game now than honest players. -
Wow…that’s crazy. Bungie must have noticed this….wild they have not said anything.
-
Ban them all, they would of been fully aware they were playing with a player using cheats
-
Ban all of them, even if the team member just went along for the ride.
-
Give them all an emblem that can’t be removed. Lets us see who these elite players are in every activity they enter, they’ve earned it👍
-
According to Luckyy 10P
You should edit this out & put the name of the actual researcher that uncovered this. Lucky isn't a reliable source.
-
I’d take a red dot over an illegitimate clear every day of the week. Side not, lucky10p content is brain rot.

Edited by KRoMXiTo: 7/25/2025 2:05:36 PMLOL ur beloved streamers are the reason (together with bungie upper management) the game is in its current state. F**** them all. And you continue following them??? You need help dude. And also you deserve this bungie's scam.

Edited by Reith: 7/25/2025 4:32:31 PMWho isn't trying to cheese or find ways to beat these overly overtuned mobs? -10 is sleepish but those up to -70? Why don't those who complain equip a glaive and melee slap everything on mythic, let us know how it goes. Edited for spelling as I am horrible at it 🤣🤣🤣
-
If you count exploiting the Lord of Wolves ammo bug as a violation of the code of conduct for no shenanigans then pretty much 100% of all completions were invalid.
-
Edited by zedlanik: 7/26/2025 3:00:44 AMI saw aztecross video going mental about it, but let's talk about cuz someone's favourite youtubers haven't got their first clear. Now they should get banned? While pvp cheaters are getting away with it? Only people that are mad about pve cheaters are youtubers, lol I wanna see pvp cheaters getting banned first
-
Result of Bungie tolerating cheating culture in Destiny 2 for too long time, of course it had to go this way. Some of them even stream. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . The ocassional public stunts where Bungie now and then sue some cheating software dev companies won't do anything shiz. Final consumers will find their dru ...cheats elsewhere.
-
Lucky10p the streamer who claimed characters were getting deleted simply by logging on. He isn’t a credible source and should not have a platform to spread the lies and misinformation. But what do you expect from a N&z1
-
Find it funny for years people get on here and say we don’t have many cheaters in PvP 😂 lol this shows it. Pve content over half cheating in some way or another is hilarious. Nerds cheating in a video game shows virginity at the highest level lol
-
Yet people on linux or steamdeck can't play D2 because bungie thinks it's too risky, lmao i bet there'd be LESS cheaters on Linux/Steamdeck than on Microsoft Windows, yknow, the platform where the grand majority of applications are made for and has the market share of OS usage... At this point it would be in their best interest to just get rid of BattlEye (clearly doesn't work) and let people play on Linux
-
Hot take: I’m willing to bet most cheating happens on PC. Should’ve kept the game console only. JK but seriously they have to do something about this.
-
Edited by BegFourMercy: 7/26/2025 1:56:08 AMIn my opinion 100 pct may have cheated. Hot swapping and using the Lord of Wolf ammo glitch is cheating. How many used 'spotters' to cheat and get info? How many used the exploits to level up and get better gear before it gets patched? How many used macros for load out swapping? Once the encounter starts, lock all gear like in a grand master.
-
I think it’s funny that contest mode was so -blam!- more than half the people playing it had to cheat.
