I am still playing and enjoying what I can. But I hate the portal more than anything that has ever been added (yes, I mean everything since the beginning).
You went from having vendors whom you go to and speak with to a basic menu of options.
It is so detracting from immersion that we may as well start calling this CODestiny or something because there is so much less immersion as we go.
Stop stream lining and immerse us in the wonderful story your writers are creating. Stop spitting on their work.

I don't hate it, I do think it could be better, but that's just my opinion. Obviously everyone won't like the same things, and there's nothing wrong with that.
-
I’ve been trying to give it a chance but I kinda hate it. Hate the forced grind. The tiered loot is just another level on the rng roulette wheel. I don’t like it and find myself sitting in menu thinking about playing then really playing.
-
I get the idea behind the Portal, Bungie wanted to go all in on the concept of playing whatever you want will get you to max Power. There's two big problems with this execution. First, it's all content we've already grinded numerous times for in the past. Second, the rate we gain Power is way too slow. The Portal can easily exist. Bungie needs to either: add content we haven't seen in awhile (everything pre Season of Arrivals), or have a featured daily activity where one or more activities drop either more or significantly higher Power gear.
-
Why tho? Loot literally pops up on the mission tab so you can pick what to farm. You can easily fly to 300 power in a week and about 320 u start getting good tier 3 and 4 drops. How’s that a bad thing?
-
I dont get the post, really you seem to hate it but not knowing that that activity is good for gear and weapons while you cry you wanna have everything so easy on table that you cant even play ,if anything try d1 vanilla see how the grind was hard

The story for me wasn't that good, particularly the Emmissary and Lodi... 2 uncharismatic, whimpy, Gen Y geeks. I find Kepler aesthetically insipid too... too many pale colours. Still, I'm alright with the portal, at least for now. Though I would like to see weekly featured raids and dungeons back sooner rather than later and more options for Pinnacles. A few additional patrol challenges wouldn't go amiss either.

Edited by nonchalantone: 7/29/2025 3:59:32 AMThey did it to give you the "visual" of you actually paying for something. It's all garbage they know it. All smoke and mirrors, and they are the masters of it. All to keep us running the SAME OLD missions, over and over. They keep reheating the same old leftovers and expecting us to eat them. It's BS. EoF stands for "End of Fun".

Portal is garbage

I hate capers. And olives, too.

"Now you're thinking with (the) portal". ~This is a failure. ~I'm making a note here, it's a mess. ~I can't even believe that its on purpose. ~But this is bungle, they can't even write.. their own.. content... ~For F's sake, it's like we're all... Still in the beta test.

It was made to make players forget how much the game had before

Edited by Fever: 7/29/2025 2:06:42 AMI hate everything in the portal, now.
-
The portal killed the immersion of the game universe. Small and consolidated. It feels like a cheap mobile phone game. Half baked, half assed, lazy, and filled with old stuff we ALREADY paid for. I would like the destination map reverted back but i got a feeling bungie is gonna continue to make the portal worse.
-
Yeah Portal sucks and they need to go back to public patrol zones with other Guardians.
-
Portal has potential as a side activity for anyone wanting to just shoot stuff solo or hop in mm. It could of had random crazy modifiers like mayhem, fun mode for a quick D2 fix. (just an example) it had alot of possibilities for fun, they chose drudgery, you can't make this stuff up. I have no idea which collection of bean bag testers brain stormed this in to existance but they have zero imagination.

me too! yay! I'm not alone 🍻🤣

It should be optional. For me, it's like a downgrade, in relation to the Tower how it once was.

Why tho
