I get sometimes change is needed, but this is craaaazy. Who authorizes this many changes with high hopes? When D2 came out there were too many differences also, and most of those were thankfully reverted. I'm posting this question wondering what anyone else thinks. I played a lot over these years and imported my characters from D1,thanks Bungie, for that. Which brings me to this ,I have about 150 masterworked and +3 exotic armors for all 3 characters that I worked for traded in and constantly and bettered when better rolls dropped. Are these armors mine? I think so,I bought this game and all expansions, less this one. Are these armors all useless now, pretty much. There should have been a way that these armors transferred or we could influence how they all transitioned to this new, strange to us system.
Am I the only one who feels like I was stolen from? Were all these changes to take the microscope off any single one? I don't know, but I'm not happy, and I'm not playing,I'm complaining.

pretty much says it all... but hey, it's "just a game", right? unless you're a "content creator", your opinion (my opinion, any "normal" player spending their money on D2) doesn't matter... Aztecross did a YT video about how "garbage" the grind was... then a few days later, streaming the "grind" saying that he loves it... suspicious?... or is it just me?

The old exotics are actually possible to be more powerful than the current exotics because they could have stack combinations that don't exist currently. They also had the potential for hire overall stat points compared to what you can get currently as well and because they came with more overall stats on them the tend to give you more balanced character sometime. I'm upset that they waited so long to release the news about how they were changing the exotics and not having them be as high of quality and missing certain stat combinations until so close to the release of the game because in the final weeks of heresy when I was trying to clean out vault space I just started deleting all of the miscellaneous exotic armor I had because I felt that I was just going to get better exotics this expansion and then I learned that was not the case after it was too late

I like the changes they’ve made and it’s nice to be able to go all in on a build and get bonuses. The game really needed the updates and a lot of the players that are unhappy about it, weren’t happy about the game before the changes were implemented. They do have to sort the bugs and ease up on the grind a little though.

Nah the game needed a reset. No grind. The game was stale and gear resets are good for destiny 2. New saga. New gear sunset old stuff. Use new gear it’s better. Old gear is old gear. If you play wow it common there. Glad they fix destiny 2. Fixing the game

They didn't steal them. They're still there. You can literally still equip and use them. If you're mad they put better things in the game than what you have, that's been happening since the beginning of the game and it's going to keep happening. Offering newer, better things isn't stealing.

All your old armor is still there. The new system doesn’t have useless stats and gives you more control over what stats you get on your gear. So yeah, you spent years getting a good armor set with the old system because that’s how long it could take. This system gives you a resin to care about future armor drops with set bonuses while making it so you don’t have to take years to get a good stat roll on your gear.
