Why does SO MUCH rely on having NEW GEAR?!
Equip new gear, you get damage buffs.
Equip new gear, you get damage resistance.
Equip new gear, you get better rewards.
You can’t do this activity without wearing new gear.
0/12 of my builds work in the new endgame thanks to this disgraceful excuse for a “System”. Not because they’re ineffective, no. But because they ALL require NEW GEAR to be equipped. And no, exotics are not an exception for some reason (Bungie, who thought it was a good idea to give warlocks TWO OPTIONS for exotic helmets?!)
This needs to be removed/reverted ASAP. All the loot we grinded long and hard for over 7 years has become completely useless. Not by powercreep, not by sunsetting, but by the FORCED ineffectiveness of our gear.
Never did I think I’d say this, but yes. It can get worse than sunsetting, and it’s this, right here.
The absolute state that is the ‘Social Aspect’ of Destiny 2 is another matter others have already complained about extensively, but I’ll bring it up again. Bungie, listen to your players, or your game will die. I have a sinking feeling you’re trying to kill your game to make Marathon more popular. It will not work.

That don't mean -blam!- when the perks suck. It's like we're back in the Leviathan era, but at least those weapons FELT good with shitty perks. Origin Story and Nameless Midnight, and Scathelocke were the -blam!-. These EoF weapons are ALL trash even the raid weapons. Remember the vidoc? "i cAn'T pUt tHiS tHinG dOWn" 🤦♂️
