So I’ve been playing this game quite a bit since the last newest expansion dropped. This morning I am realizing how much of a toll it is taking on my physical and mental health.
I’m exhausted and my stress levels are the highest they have been in a while, and I felt sick to my stomach waking up, which rarely happens.
I rarely make posts like this but if the game doesn’t swing back in a casual and fun direction. I might have to put the game down and idk if I will pick it back up. It feels borderline abusive nowadays.
Edit 1: to clarify, the stress itself came from playing the raid the night prior to making this post, the stress mainly was caused by the dps mechanic for the hydra and it stressed me out quite a bit because I was unable to get the shield breaks for dps. Or rather some of the comments from people in the raid because I couldn’t get the mechanic done as easily as the other people in the raid group.
Just wanted to clarify that.

I totally hear what OP is saying and agree that it feels abusive. No matter what you do, you're always put at a disadvantage. There is no activity I can do, other than roam around a planet popping random ads, that doesn't put me at a disadvantage. Everyone feels like they need to grind so they can get more powerful and not feel weak/at a disadvantage. It's basic psychology. Games have taught us that if we put in the grind, we'll become powerful, but that's simply not the case here and it's a constant battle, for me, to try and break that psychology. Then to have all your hard work simply reset in a few months... It's straight evil. Also, there's the fact that doing anything other than Portal activities is completely pointless. You only get armor 3.0 from EoF/Portal, everything else you get it low level, maxing at 200, and completely worthless. It's not even worth getting to dismantle, as you get absolutely nothing for that either. Finally, add the multiple required currencies to even infuse gear now and the escalating price of doing so, it's not just grinding for good gear, now you have to grind for bad gear to dismantle it for resources. Holy god, typing this all out has me sick to my stomach.
