3rd option.. Delete servers, expire the i.p, fire the entire crew, let sony take over and bring it back, whole again

we all agree

Agreed.

What are you even grinding for? As far as I can tell there’s no reason to be above 200. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
I'm not sure if they have the staff left to revert these suggestions. It appears that the wheels are in motion and that Bungie will either double-down or simply keep moving in this direction. Being F2P is the best way I reckon, there's no commitment to the game. Best of luck Guardian!

Instead of resetting. They would just move the bar to 900 then 1100.

Agreed 100% DON'T YOU DARE RESET OUR POWER LEVEL TO 200, BUNGIE! -
Can't farm engagement otherwise. Ya know despite both systems working against each other fundamentally.

The big shift in how grinding power works and all the other changes are a way for them to sell players “increase drop chances” or “chance upgrades” later down the line, mark my words
-
Don't worry they'll change it when they see less people hitting high power and not re grinding it after they reset it.

I posted this elsewhere, but why not just have us sit at a set "light level" and then have different difficulties (normal, advanced, expert, master, grandmaster) for each tier of gear? The easiest giving tier 1 and the hardest, tier 5. None of this unnecessary grinding for levels to unlock difficulties to unlock higher tiers. All the difficulties are available from the beginning, and you can immediately start grinding for whatever tier you want. If you wanna go straight to tier 5, you can, or you can start with tier 1 and build your gear up one tier at a time. The only reason this new level grinding is in the game is to pad play time, nothing else.

At the very least if they do reset power levels, don't make us regrind what essentially amounts to permission to earn higher tiers of gear before the reset. If someone JUST reached 400 to start grinding T5 weapons (especially raid/ dungeon or comp weapons), they shouldn't need to regrind 200 levels to earn gear tiers they already had access to. I don't expect to not get my desired rolls for it before Renegades if not also on T5, but if I don't get what I want on Solemn Remembrance before then, I don't want to regrind 200 levels to restore RNG I already earned. God forbid they cycle it out and limit it's acquisition in some way. Either they shouldn't reset progress for previous seasons when it comes to tiered rewards, or they should reduce the levels required for it after a time like being able to get T5 EOF gear at 300 when Renegades drops. That would be reasonable.
