"Grinding" is the game now. It's not raid clears, getting better at PvP... no it's who can grind power, and then they'll take your power and new freshly ground gear and sunset it every few months.
It's like climbing a mountain. You spend days climbing and camping just to enjoy a momentary view from the top. You better like climbing, because that's most of what mountain climbing is.
I like a journey, but where I end up, I would like to live a while. I'll put up with a journey if I get to live I'm a better space, but my joy is not in the journey, it's in the better place.
There's no longer a "better place" in Destiny, only a momentary view from the top, so you better enjoy climbing.

As far as I can recall, there were many people complaining about too little to grind. I guess these people are happy grinding now.

People are waking up to what many players realized during Rite of the Nine. I didn’t buy EOF because they were pretty up front on what to expect.
It's like climbing a mountain. You spend days climbing and camping just to enjoy a momentary view from the top.
Except in this case, as you're about to reach the top of the mountain, you're thrown back to the bottom and told to climb it all over again. You don't get that moment to sit and reflect on what you've accomplished. There is no feeling of accomplishment with this system -- it's just an endless climb. There's not even a "see how high you go" marker because even if you never stop climbing your counter is reset.

They realised people treat the power grind as content….
