This levelling grind is there to hide the fact that outside the campaign there is little real content. There are:- no seasons, no new strikes, no new crucible maps, no gm’s, no pinnacles from raids or dungeons (which should have been left as they were with the exception that pinnacles should have dropped from every encounter for all the featured raids and dungeons) no 9 pinnacle exotic engrams per week from strikes, crucible or gambit. no pinnacle rotation for exotic missions, no 25% increase in damage across the board in raids and dungeons due to the removal of surges in TFS. The power delta in raids and dungeons still not being reverted, and we are two weeks in already. The game has been gutted, just like D2 felt after leaving AoT D1. The game is a shell of its former self. The population is going to continue to decrease until a lot of these asinine decisions are reverted and the levelling is less restrictive and boring.
