I don't have a ton of time to play games so I have only played destiny for basically since it was first released as my game distraction.
I kinda don't want to right now.
What should I try? Loved halo series

Under the Geneva Convention in article 69, subsection my -blam!-, it states that it is an international felony to own and operate an eighth generation or above PlayStation system (e.g. any variety of the Playstation four (4) and/or five (5)) without playing Bloodborne.

Any preferred genres other than shooters?

As if I'd recommend anything else. Caveat: There are plenty of carrots to chase after, so there's grinding to be done. I mention it only in passing because you mentioned your limited game time.

I have been on story of seasons pioneers of olive town. It can be a boring game but I find it relaxing.

For PC/console - Warframe : permanent gears, awesome movement - Warface : if you like military shooter - PUBG : battle royale - Elder Scrolls Online : I'm not far yet in progression but I'm having fun with my stun heavy skill sets and getting lost in the map - Borderlands series : can't go wrong with the OG - Fallout : New Vegas or any fallout series For mobile - Mobile Legends : good for dumb fun, but risk of having toxic teammates since it's MOBA - PUBG mobile : has several modes (classic BR, extraction shooter, team PvP and arcade modes such as weaponized vehicles mode) - Shadow Fight series - Shadowgun Legends : mobile destiny with less serious story and even less serious characters. Quite good for dumb fun shooting aliens without getting nerfed because a build is a bit good

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a beautiful game. Even if you don’t like turn based combat or rpg elements, I’d still recommend it. Plus, battles still require your attention with the parrying/dodge system and the story is just pure cinema with intriguing writing. Characters have charisma and just interact well with each other, and the music is really really really good. Basically: It’s a work of art.
Shooter-wise I haven’t really played anything lately besides Warframe, but that’s on-off right now. There is Ready Or Not which I play with a friend. Dunno about solo play though and each mission usually takes an hour to clear. Perhaps keep an eye out for Battlefield 6 coming out on Oct. ~10? I’m skeptical still after 2042’s crash-and-burn, but it’s lookin to be pretty promising. We’ll see once open-beta is up.
If you're into the PS1/PS2 era Armored Cores or Armored Core 5, I'd recommend Dolls Nest
