Are you going to grind 450 power?
Just curios. Whenever you like this system or not, your actions speak for yourself.

Like kinda? I'm not grinding like the content creators or people who are already 450, I'm just logging on for dailies and maybe an extra run or two for Minty and then going to play something else. That was until Solstice, now I've been grinding that, trying to get a tier 5 armor set (I'm 1 off) and I'm currently 380 now. I don't really care about 450, just armor stats

I may give up on this season and do it next season, as there will less of a climb + the seasonal gear will switch for the bonuses (I think, I don't really know)... I'm close to 300, so I may grind to 300 asap for the solstice gear. Thing is, the whole system is out of whack and players can easily be left behind. E.g. I was playing with peeps who are now 400+ and those who are now -200. We're all doing different things at different levels and getting different rewards. So I'm playing solo again (which is fine for me personally).

8 RepliesThey made that for streamer egos. They were mad that everyone could do grandmasters, master raids.... The one thing the common man can't do is grind 60hrs a week on a game.

I won't grinding for anything anymore.. I'll jump on & run about shooting stuff til the fun metre drains then I'll bounce. I have done enough Encore, Empire Hunts, Onslaught, Battlegrounds, Delves & all that loop enough in the last 1,000 days to do me to the end of the earth.. I used to love doing the power cap & the new season activities & the weekly story.. on all three. Now it's an absolute slog to finish the campaign on one character THEN get sucked into the Portapotty facemash for power that is constantly capped with - numbers for all the stuff that gets us up to good numbers? This is deranged.. No. Destiny 2 is dumb now.

I was planning on it, now unsure. 400-450 is excruciating as primes simply don't drop, I'll play solstice for a day or so then decide if to carry on or move on, battlefield 6 open beta this week so might try that

Nope. I’d like to be at 400 power by Ash and Iron, but I’m taking it slow. I’m playing things I want to play and working my way up by just enjoying the activities. Going above 400 before then is a recipe for frustration and burnout.

Trying to get to 410 so I can get the seasonal conquests done and gild the Conqueror seal again since some funny individual decided to lock the last GM behind a 410 power level and you literally cannot start it until you hit that level - absolute garbage and for no reason since you gonna get capped anyway. After that: No thanks! Bungie can keep their T5 loot which will essentially be worthless in 4 months anyway!

I had over the years, collected so much good gear and essentially any god roll one would want, and this could have been something saved for a sequel if there ever was to be one down the road. The fact that in 6 months we may be expected to do this all over again, doesn't sound appealing either, and I'm somebody who has put in probably over 6,000 hours by now. I could soon be taking a break after I eventually do maybe the raid title for other games for a while.

2 RepliesI’m not sure if I’m grinding to 300. In 4 months all the levels, armor, and weapons you wasted hours of your life on is replaced with a new grind for power level, weapons, and armor.
