I watched a video yesterday regarding how the Solstice event is handing out "super rewards", i.e. tier 5 armour and weapons.
Great, I thought.
But then, the catch.....
IF you have hit level 400, IF you are at guardian rank 9, IF you are able to grind this game 12 hours a day, 7 days a week on an industrial scale......then there might be something to get excited about.
I'm currently sitting at power level 232, guardian rank 6 and I've played every day since this abomination launched.
There are some guardians who just cannot do this and it seems that Bungie are rubbing salt in the wounds of those who have families and full time work commitments.
When they said they would reward players for their playtime, they didn't say it only applied to streamers and the top few percentage of elites who play Destiny for a living.
It's like giving millionaires the winning lottery numbers AND paying for their tickets.

I got two tier 4s to drop on day 1 of Solstice when I was somewhere between 240-260 light. It was pretty cool and made me a bit more excited to grind. I've since made my way up to 285 and haven't had a single T4 drop since, so Bungie either "stealth nerfed" the drop rate yesterday or the RNG is just terrible. Either way, I'm sick of all the "raining loot" posts and claims I'm seeing everywhere and I feel like at least half of it is people lying. I've seen sub-300 people saying they are getting tier 5s and there's just no way I believe that after I didn't get a single T4 drop yesterday during a 5-6 hour play session.
