Bungie Name Randomly Changed?
My Bungie name has been Zesty Zention#1129 since the system was implemented. I logged into today to find its been randomly automatically changed to Redacted0708#1129. I seem to have the ability to change it back in settings (in fact it even suggests the name since its my steam name), but I guess the like 3 name changes they've given people that I never used didn't stack, and it appears that I only have the ability to change it once. I'm now worried that if I change it back, it's gonna get auto changed again despite not being a bad name in any shape or form and I'll end up stuck with some random generated name. Any guidance or reasoning on why my name was changed and if I'm safe to change it back would be appreciated.

1 ReplyHello there[url=https://tuxydoh.com/images/hi.gif],[/url] A name reset to default like that means it was detected or reported, reviewed by Bungie and reset to"[b]Redacted####[/b]", that indicates that some part of the name broke the [url=https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Legal/CodeOfConduct]Code of Conduct[/url] or the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/7648312251284-Bungie-Name-Guide]Bungie Name Policy[/url], was filtered, and [b]cannot/should not be used again.[/b] When that happens, you get the new name cross play message in-game as notice of the name change. You can try a different name if you have a name change available. If the system is not allowing more changes, there is no way to override it.
