Depending on a players light and gear it's better to set your own modifiers to maximize rewards. If you don't want to solo a fireteam ops activity where you set the modifiers you can use fireteam finder and run it with 2 others. Solo ops was made for solo player's. Fireteam and pinnacle ops were made for both solo and players wanting to run with others. It's what many wanted for so long and chances are given you are serial complainer you complained about random teammates in strikes in the past. Now you have more options than ever. Run the selected activities ths t have set modifiers and matchmaking, run strikes alone with your own set modifiers or run it's with your own set modifiers in a team via fireteam finder Yes bungie can't force us to play anything. There has always been an option to play with others.
